Title: Charlestown, SC trad archery shops??
Post by: dinorocks on February 17, 2009, 09:55:00 PM
I'm on a family vacation in the Charlestown, NC area for a few days...does anyone know if there are any traditional archery shops in or around the Charlestown, NC area.

Thanks!

Dino,

Is it Charlestown, NC or Charleston, SC?  If it's Charleston, SC, there aren't any traditional only archery shops.  But The Archery Shop in Summerville, SC is very traditional archery friendly.  The owner, Bud Westmoreland, or Budro to his clients, has probably a dozen stickbows hanging around that he owns, including a Marriah Thermal and a Crow Creek Black Feather.  Budro's phone number is 843-875-9613.  He can flat shoot a stickbow.

Dino,

Budro has another shop that might be closer for you.  I don't know the phone number for it, but you can call the Summerville shop and get the phone number for it and you can call it for directions.  It's not too far from Hwy 17 N going towards Georgetown.  You turn at the boat store at Hwy 41.  From there I'm not sure where you turn.

Bill its on Cainhoy Rd.  If you turn Left off of 41 onto Clements Ferry rd, it'll be the second right (has a stop light now). If your coming from 526, its a ways down right before you get to 41.

They only have a small booth in the Coastal Firearms building, with little to no traditional equipement.  Has a 20 yard outdoor range with a just a few targets as well.  Nice selection of guns though  :)

Have you been to the Barton and Burwell shop?  They have a very nice indoor 3D range setup, but I've yet to shoot there.
