By the time I get into the woods with the bow next September it will have been a long, long stretch. September 6th last year, just before our Tennessee season opened up, I lost my concentration for just a second and ended up with a season ending injury. I didn't fall from a tree, I fell into a metal recycling dumpster - but that's another story.
Nevertheless, this past season was vicarious only. Thanks for the memories. I finished PT and I should be as good as new come fall. And I'll be more than ready to draw on a buck as it will have been a full 2 years.
Thanks for the stories this year.

Wow, I've got the exact same hardware in my ankle. Mine was done in the mill. Took me out of commision the whole season also. Hope you have a great season this year.
Hoop,
Guess that makes us titanium brothers. ;-) It wasn't so bad, but when it happens in September and messes up your hunting plans it adds insult to injury, doesn't it?

I feel your pain, I also had season ending surgery in Oct. I'm begining to shoot again, and am already anticipating next year. Hope your rehab turns out well.
Best of luck!
46r,
What you think, a guy named "Bonebuster" wishing you luck. Now thats funny.
Hoop
Good luck. Hope it works out well for you this season.

I got a chuckle out of that one myself.
By the way, anyone want to venture an observation as to how many screws are holding it all together??
Good luck too ya! Hope you score a good one.
11?
That's a right shapely ankle you got there, BTW.

11 is correct! There were going to be a couple more, but after the dislocation was repositioned, the metal plate installed, and the torn ligaments reattached, the remaining breaks were held in place without them.
And you are correct - I will have a new appreciation for the ability to walk to a stand this fall.
Thanks for the well wishes.
