Does anyone use the Vision Hunting Blind with longbows? I know it's 70" tall and that should be enough for a 62" longbow. I just want to be sure before purchasing one. Thanks in advance.
I bought one its big enough but I went back to the Doublebull
I have one, but I haven't had a chance to shoot out of it yet. I plan on shooting a 62" curve out of it. Good luck.
Do you guys shoot through the shoot through mesh with your trad gear? Was wondering how that works. This is the Primos blind from Cabela's right?
Yes I plan on shooting through the mesh. I have done so with other blinds and it works very well. Make sure to practice shooting through the mesh before hunting so you don't worry about it.
I have a groundmax blind and hunted out of it this fall alot. I shoot short bows 54" and 56" but my buddy shot his 60" bow out of my blind a few times no issues.I also shot through the mesh about a half dozen times no issue with my arrow flight at ranges to 20 yards.
I have one and like it a lot. Very roomy and well made
Thanks for the info, gang. I would get one of the others, DB, Hidden Hunter, Lucky...but I just can't afford them. The Vision is in my price range.
I was looking at the Vision blind but didn't like the fact you can't tighten the mesh. I just don't trust haveing the mesh so loose. I have the other Ground Max blind with the triangle windows and like it alot. Shoot a 60" recurve no problem
I'm not sure, but I think Primos bought Double Bull so I wouldn't get all hung up on the Primos or DB decision.
Buckeye you are correct. There are some differences between the DB and Ground max blinds. Mostly in the material used. For the money though you can't beat the Ground Max blinds.
I have a vision blind and am very happy with mine.

Double bull sold to Primos over a year ago!
Now, back to the shoot thru mesh. Just how tight is it and is it a problem? My longest bow is 62". If I'm seated or kneeling, will the height be a problem?
I'm sure with a little ingenuity, and some safety pins you could figure out how to tighten the netting with no problem....
This is true.
I like my Primos blind so far no complaints.
Havent
had the chance or need to hunt out of anything but my double bull I just wish I woulda got the green
My huband loves a climber.
I'd like to hear others experience with this blind in real hunting situations. I bought one in March, mainly to use for turkeys, but I was hoping to use it for deer some as well. I really want to be able to start taking my little boy with me.
My overall experience with this blind was a bad one. First, I had to return the original one I purchased, because the stitching that holds the netting up came lose (it was held in place by a single stitch), and the hub came lose from the fabric right from the start.
I took it to Nebraska for a week of turkey hunting a few weeks ago. It was really windy that week, and long story short, I realized that this blind in higher winds spooks animals pretty bad. Its a combination of the lose netting, the lose "blackout panels" and the noisy material. I had turkeys spooking from as far as 100yds in higher winds. On the last day, we sat my buddies DB in the same spot as the day before and had the exact same turkeys that spooked on my blind the day before come right by the DB with no issues at all (and it was even windier than the day before).
I'd like to hear others experience, especially in higher winds. Also, hows it holding up? After a week of hunting, I can see signs that mine wouldn't last very long. Stress at the seams, the fabric at the magnets is already showing signs of wearing through, and the cheap zipper has already started coming off track (if they own DB too, why didnt they use the heavy duty zipper thats on the DB??)
Double bull blinds are now made in China, they used to be American made. The price sure didn't go down any. :banghead:
Yeah, I noticed that last year that they are now made in China. However, they do still have a lifetime warranty, and you can tell they are alot better quality than the other Primos blinds (ie. material, zippers, stitching, etc.) I'm kicking myself because when I bought the Primos blind there was a slightly used Pre-Primos Double Bull Matrix on Craigslist for about 50 dollars more than I ended up paying for the Primos blind.
I hunted out of my Primos GroundMax Vision all weekend in some very heavy showers and winds. Very happy with the blind so far. I don't really like the fact that I can see daylight where the label is sewn on the roof and some other spots but it didn't really leak except for a few drops during extreme toad strangling downpours.
The backpack that the blind goes into is a real nice feature. I had a chair and two backpacks attached with the buckles and everything seems to cinch down for a nice, secure package for carrying into the woods.
