There maybe a few around.  Here's some info from the DNR.

Along with a Map.

Pigs don't like cold weather.  Going to have to come somewhat South to find em.

Maybe Texas.

LOL

I am interested in the results of this thread. Seems like a fun thing to do. Maybe a traditional Wisconsin piggy romp, eh?

Richard,

I guess I finally retired and can spend more time hear.

I did some scouting in eastern WI based on previous sightings and found nothing. I have not talked with the DNR about any recent activity tho'. Does sound like fun.

When I lived there a few years back me and a buddy looked all over for them.  We put out tons of gamecams and did lots of walking nada

I have a friend who hunts in SW Wisconsin, Crawford County. He, his father, and neighbors have killed several pigs a year for the last 4-5 yrs. But, 5 miles down the road they don't see them. I think here in WI they are living in concentrated pockets.

My brothers co-worker had some success driving around looking for pigs. He spotted several packs and got permission to go onto the properties, same day. He shot 2 pigs with the bow this way. I think he was down in the South Central part of the state, near the Illinois border.

If you've got time to spend driving and talking to people you could find some of the WI piggies. If you were looking for better odds (more pigs, better dispersion) I'd head out of state.

I've contacted the Wi DNR several times in the past when I lived in Wi.  Most were on private property so access was the issue.  Because of that and working 6 days a week, I never went.

As I recall, the biologist told me to get a map and draw a circle centered in Gays Mills.  I believe he said 6 miles but my memory could be incorrect.  Anyhow, he said most of the pigs were in that area.

Again, lots of private property so the pigs weren't hunted hard and had no reason to leave.

Yup, drive and hope and talk to people and you might find some.  Otherwise, you're gonna have to go way down south and even some of those places have high fences.
