Hey guy's and gal's Look what ductape sent me!

carbon venture 400's with brass inserts (100 grainer's I think) some weight tubes, dry flies, and some leaders!

La. bowhunter was overly generous to me!  Can't thank him enough.
I got:
tube style hand warmer(have always wanted one)
large knife in sheath
many feathers and fletching glue(working on arrows as I speak)
super soft shooting glove(just made the switch from a tab to a glove this year & this glove is nice!)
Shell holder for my shotgun
a beautiful cross necklace made from fairier nails(love it.  I am from a family of race horse breeders.)

A BIG thanks to ArticArcher from Alaska.  I received two packages of full length feathers.  I been wanting some to make flu flu's and now I can, if fact I made four.  Great fun,  picking targets in trees and not loosing your arrows.  Hope to do more arial shooting too.  He also sent a nice knife with leather sheath.  Sweet!!!

Ozy Clint sent me a package from his temporary Canadian "digs."  I got 4 interesting Aussie broadheads called "Blackstump" heads with steel adapters that make them about 245 gr.  One was presharpened to show how to work them, the other three will be left for me to learn on.  

Also got 10 small game heads made out of chip board screw fasteners which are drilled out to mount behind a field point.  

Finally, there was a little 3"x4" patch of kangaroo leather that Clint had tanned with "wattle bark" (whatever THAT is!).  It is really nicely done, and brings back fond memories of a business trip to Australia 5 years ago...

Thanks, Ozy Clint!  I appreciate what you put together, and will have fun using the various parts of the package!

SuperKodiak really made my already tight schedule even more so with his generosity.

I got:
a large piece of tanned leather (fur on)
some nice pieces of antler
some barred turkey feathers (how did he know I wanted to try my hand at making my own arras?)
some interesting pieces of fur (looks suitable for a shooting tab or perhaps some rest material)
some leather lacing
a space blanket
pin on compass
doe bleat can (I wore one of these out last year and had planned to replace it)
aluminum turkey call (did he know I was pondering my spring turkey season just this morning after passing a flock of fine looking birds?)
blade sharpener
some hex blunts
some claw adapters for field points
lots of field points
a shooting tab
a string keeper
and some wax.


Ive been enjoying making my gear now for the past couple of years so his gift was spot on.  I will undoubtedly get many hours of enjoyment and challenging fun out of all of it.

Huge thanks to SuperKodiak and to the people who take the time to get this started and keep it rolling, I will certianly be participating again next year.

Big thanks for the really cool knife.
I received a broadhead knife with a note that said this:
I wanted to tell ya a big about the parts of this knife.
The broadhead: I killed 2 hogs, a doe, adn missed a coyote with this same head.  As you can tell by the tip its been used.  I wanted to see how many animals I could harvest with the same head.
The antler:  a shed found in Yankee Springs MI.  which was one of Fred Bears favorite hunting grounds......

Just recieved mine from GatorGar.

He sent a great coyote head and tail, which should make a nice finishing touch on a back quiver.  A rattl'n bag, and bleat call, and a very nice winchester 3  blade folding pocket knife with bone scales.

Somehow I knew you could find a use for that mask and tail.  I bought that knife about a week ago after I lost mine and the first time I carried the one I sent you, I found a beehive and was able to retrieve about 1gl of honey out of it.  I called it "Lucky Honey" after that.  Found my old knife and started carring that one again and didn't want to let such a good little trapper get stolen by one of my nehews.

The White Elephant was laying on the porch when I got home from work today.
I've got a new best friend!!! wtpops / AKA Mr. Rick Cunningham, I know that he must have esp., I've been thinking about making myself a Hill style back quiver, well now I don't have to.
I love it,  it will get LOTS of use.

No problem, that is the first quiver i ever made, you may have to play with the strap to get it to set right but its made with heavy duty leather and should last a life time.

Outwest hooked me up with a camo jacket(to small for me ) but i son loved it. some nocks, blunts, a 1 arrow quiver, 6pack cooler, and knife sharpening kit

Oops, I got mine this morning. My wife said it came a couple of weeks ago, but she forgot to give it to me. I received a really neat book called "A MAN MADE OF ELK". It looks like a great read and I cant wait to get to it. I also got some Bow Hush and some otter fur silencers. They will be put to good use. I have never used the otter silencers--what is the best way to put them on??

I got my trade a few days ago and have been speechless ever since.  Steve (wisconsin wood butcher) sent me a hip quiver he made from the back half of a black bear.

I am truly honored and humbled to received such an amazing gift.

Kingwouldbe went way above an beyond. Thorn/snake chaps, nice utility knife, Ace Bh with a sheath, and a lot of other very useful odds and ends. I still feel like it was Christmas...and my wife really thinks Im nuts now.  :goldtooth:

jerry sent me a nice bow quiver, a fred asbell cassette, small hot melt gun and some misc. electrical stuff that will goto god use.

All I can say is wow thanks a lot Jason (whitebuffalo) Jason sent me a box FULL of goodies!!! FireFly arrows with some broadheads that are really shrp, Traditional Bowyers Bible I, a book on tanning and another on Deer hunting, a whole bag of yellow nocks, some scent away soap and spray( must have known I'm a stinky wildman), a windicator and to top it all off a turkey call he made that sounds great and a really cool antler tipped striker! I'll definately be using all this stuff and surely the call very soon. A fine gift my friend! All very useful stuff! Thanks to all that made this happen, a great experiance and a great place filled with wonderful people.

Guru, you done good, so good I don't have time to list all the useful goodies you sent me.  One was a little possibles bag that had goodies in every pocket.  So quickly, a few of my favorites were the packable 6" bastard file, trad harvests 2 vhs and the milkweed wind check dispenser.  Thanks for everything.

Glad you liked it bud...in case your not sure...the green sticks are hot glue...the best I've ever used. Used in the construction industry to repair pipe coating before it goes in the ground....

Hey Todd,, Did you notice that one arrow without a BH,,and all the blood on it,,LOL,, took a doe with that one this past fall,spined her so that arrow was snapped off at the BH. So those arrows have some MOJO,,they are spined @ 63 to 65# and are still full length, If you need some help with that call let me know,,they can be a bit tricky to get used too. I thought I smelt somethin while packaging it all up so I threw in that smell like nothing stuff,,LOL,,I didn't relize my nose was that good. The books are great. Life from a treestand, Home book of tanning, and Traditional bowyers bible and they are all like new,,LOL,,I'm glad I could be a part of this,,JB

I'm sorry but stiffing someone on a "gentleman's agreement" is just plain wrong.  The people that havent sent anything and dont plan to, need to either apologize or be publicly called out.  The kindness that flows through this site is what makes it so different from any other out there.  Id hate to see people around here get taken advantage of.  If you havent gotten your elephant yet, I think you should call the person out that hasnt sent it yet.

JB, thats awesome man I had no idea there was mojo on that arrow, I'm gonna retaper it and shoot a turkey with it! Just a few more weeks and those birds are in trouble!
No word yet from the fellow I sent to but my package did go out a little later than anticipated because I was moving but should have arrived by now. This was fun and for those that got stiffed I'm suprised I have never had a bad experience here on Tradgang. If you havent sent something out than get on it, with all the crap I have going on if I could get a package out than everyone else should have too. Now to unpack and figure out where to put all this stuff! I hate moving but since I'm single again the whole house can be the "man cave" !!!
