Title: Carbon crossover spine
Post by: SL on February 08, 2009, 01:16:00 PM
I shoot a BW psa that is 61#s @ 27 inches and have been shooting 29 inch 2219's and 2216s with 225 grain and 175 grain tips respectively. What is the carbon equivalent? I tryed the 340s with 225 cut to 28inchs and they shoot weak. That was after building the side plate out about an 1/8th inch. I pull 27 inches. Im leaning towards the 350 cx or gt 75/95 at this point.

I shoot the same draw & weight from a Habu and found w/ aliums I shoot are exactly what you shoot and w/ a 340 MXF was the same legnth as the aliums w/ 200gr point shoot wonderful for my set-up.The 340 MFX;s spine the same as the 2219's on my tester as well the 350's and 75/95's you're looking into.If you need less deflection you need a .300 spine deflection.

A 2216 is .375
A 2219 is .337

I shimmed out the side plate another 1/16th and the 340's seem to be flying better now.
