Tomorrow is the last day of squirrel and rabbit here in PA. If I don't see any game I'll be shooting stumps with my Brackenbury recurve.
I'll be in the woods until it's time to go see my new baby granddaughter!
Shoveling 4 feet of snow off the camp roof on Sat. then a 3-D shoot on Sun. Weather looks to be in the 40's ......Finally!!!
Im flying out of LAX to Belize for my Son's wedding. In this day and age i can think of a lot more things to do with the money like bank it for the newly weds but its going to make the kids and the wife happy and when shes happy....well you know how the rest goes.
I think tomorrow is the annual SCBA, or whatever the new acronym is, traditional archery rabbit hunt. If it is, I'll be going to it to try to shoot some bunnies. There's been a total of 4 killed in the past 15 or so hunts and 2 of them were killed last year. The temperatures should be in the mid-60s to low 70s here tomorrow. I'll be shooting my 21st Century Saturn and the new GrizzlyStik Sitka arrows I picked up yesterday. They fly like darts out of my Saturn.

I'm going to the PO tomorrow morning and picking up my new (to me) '59 Kodiak, fine tune her with some well matched arrows and go kill some stumps. Man, I can use some R&R right about now. Just hope I don't get called in to work. If Reid doesn't get his vote on the stimulis package today, he's going to force a vote on Sunday and I may have to go in.

Going to be 60 here in Ky so me and my daughter might go stumping.

We're having Juan (NorthernCaliforniaHunter) and his family down for dinner. Venison and pork country sausage lasagna, homemade bread, salad and wine. We'll fletch up some arrows and fling some too and then have a nice dinner. We're finally getting some much needed rain too.
sounds great especially Biggie!!!! Pork rules..LOL Marco#78
Yep, like BTH said, fletchin' and feedin'. I'm looking forward to it and the opportunity for the ladies to bond (makes it easier to gain permission for last minute hunts later!!) Oh, and they're GREAT folks too!
He said "Venison and pork country sausage lasagna", and like Pavlov's dogs I'm swallowing copious amounts of drool. :p
Setting up a 3d course with some buddies for our inter-club champs next month! While thats happening we'll kill some stumps! :) Weatherman says it's gonna snow!! Thought winter was nearly over!! :banghead:

Playing soldier with the Oregon National Guard. Got the Drill blues! :(
Gonna shoot a little after I get home from drill.
well it statred out ok...but I ended up having a crappie day....caught 17 nice keepers...can you say fish fry... :)
Went to the United Bowhunters of Missouri Festival in Jeff City with some good friends today. My friend Travis bought a new MOAB from that fine fellow Jim Reynolds. I encouraged poor Travis to spend his hard earned coin, and crowed with glee when he finally wrote the check. I won't steal Travis' thunder... He'll be around before too long to post pics I'm sure. Jim got a good laugh when I ribbed Travis that I finally had a nice MOAB to shoot at no expense to me... :jumper:
I picked up some little items that I always seem to forget when I make a mail order. As usual, the friendliness and service from Mike and Brenda at The Nocking Point was first rate! As a little added bonus, met "Irish" and his friend there too.
Got home and put my new Bateman tab through it's paces with my Acadian. Shot exceedingly well for me.
All in all, an excellent start to the weekend!
Well, we just got back from our big donkey hunt. We ducked down into the speargrass just in time to avoid being seen by four donkeys who were coming toward us. They passed 30 metres away, and I could've shot, but wanted my mate, Dave, to have a go. He shot underneath, and they spooked away. Later, we found a lone donkey, and plotted a good course to intercept him, and he would've come right past, but when he was 40 metres away, I felt the wind hit the back of my neck, and the donkey hit the wall and circled way-out wide, snorting and carrying-on. It was a good morning, with two close encounters.
Well, NorthernCaliforniaHunter showed up tonight with his wife and daughter for fletching, flinging, and feeding. I fletched, they all flung, and then we fed. Much fun was had by all.
Not much going on this weekend, but I'm expecting a new (to me) JD Berry Appollo Monday or Tuesday. Next weekend will be fun...:^)
