I wanted to do something a little different with some arrows. I have a couple of nice new "primitive" bows and wanted some arrows to go with them. I had never seen arrows crested with wood stain and thought I would give it a try. They were all crested the same way, but the wood took the stains different. I really like the way they came out. 4 different colors of stains. I used Minwax this time which is very thin. Its what I had around the house. The next batch I do I think I will use some of the thicker stains. Whatcha think?

Pretty cool look you have there. LOVE the turk feathers.
Good job
They look like shooters to me.
Very nice job!
Real nice arrows there.
Good looking arrows :)
Nice Brian...reminds me of the ones in the West Point museum.
I like to stain the point end and leave the "crown" just unstained. Then finish and crest. Makes a sort of crown with just lighter wood grain. Basically the opposite effect as yours. Mine don't look that good yet though.
