Here it is. I haven't decided what to name it yet though. This idea has been in my head for quite some time, and after many prototypes and some good kindling, I got it. Here is what the new 3 piece has to offer-
1) 12 inch short riser to give the feel of a 1 piece bow.
2) Same limb design used in my one piece bows.
3) Longbow and recurve limbs on the same riser.
4) If 2 sets of limbs are ordered at the same time I can match all veneers (if the wood is available in a big enough size).
5) The price on this bow is $675. Bamboo cores are standard. $1000 with 2 sets of limbs at the time of origional purchase.
6) 56" to 62" recurve.
7) 58" to 62" longbow.

Sweet looking bow!
Beautiful bows! I really like the way you recess the limbs into the riser like that. I wish all the bowyers did that. It makes for a much nicer line in my opinion.
They sure are PERTY!!!!
I agree with Curveman, nice clean lines!!!
I believe these will "HOT" sellers!
I can't believe you found that beautiful limb wood out of this:

Yes but this one will take up less space while not in use!
It also could be easier to hide from wives!
Josh
if it shoots like the one pcs it will be a winner still the quietest recurve iv'e shot!
Slunger stick ,Quick stick,Pig stick,i will think of more names.

I like that name JD. The spelling is perfect too.
Another name, keeping with your theme
"Gree Gree"
How about the following...
It a Creole term...southern bayou term.
Rete Trankil ....means "to be quiet"
Josh
SNEAK STIK
Sticking with the current theme of Mojo and Voodoo, how about the WiccaStik?
Kajika Stik. Kajika is American Indian, means: "Walks without sound"
"Lightning Stik"
how about "Big Beech"...its what we call our boss at work when she is out of earshot. In the native tongue it means "girl dog" i think, im not certain though.
JD, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Dean,
Please order a 62" and a few lbs. heavier than usual so it will be just right at my draw.
This is a great looking bow!
up for a sweet lookin bow!!! im dyin to get on that list!
Witch Doctor
Switch Doctor - Switch limbs, switch as in whip'n stick, and sounds like witch doctor.
Whip'n stik
Switch Stik
Vodun - VooDoo variation
HooDoo - Mojo related
Cool! Is it as fast and quiet as the 1 piece? I'd like to shoot a demo before I place my order.
and i couldn't wait... :)
Hey Pete, either tie me up one of those big bucks of yours or I'm showing your boss your last post! :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
TTT

I like this one. It goes with the Whisper Stik name.
i have been ignoring this thread. that stunning looking bow on the right is mine. the more i look at it the more i want it and then i dont sleep. my wife says i have issues. once my bow gets here my issues will be resolved :^) The bow looks awesome JD, im extremely excited. i will post some pics of the bow and the shed antlers of the deer that JD used for the tips when i get it. i sent him the original shed, the next yr i found the matched set and then the following yr i killed the deer. good mojo there.
Yep the new take down is a great looking bow! I have three new bows on order right now and then JD post this new take down like he is baiting the trap my wifes going to kill me in! I have one ??? does anyone know the shortest length these will come in recurve and longbow?
The bow will be offered in 56" to 62" in recurves, and 58" to 62" in longbows. JD
I wonder if a 60" Tulipwood one is in the makings. Just wondering. :notworthy:
one more time for a sweet lookin bow..
I am thinking a ebony/zebra wood riser and zebra wood limbs would make a pretty combo in this bow.
Kajika is also a Japanese rain forest frog.
I love frog legs..
