Ready or not it has happened :scared: . On the same day that I became umemployed I became self-employed.
In the past year since beginning my sponsorship on tradgang the response to my bows has been great. It is the only site that I sponsor and find it to be the best way to reach people with their heart in the same place that mine is. With this change I will be able to offer the following-
1) Faster turn around on custom orders.
2) A better inventory of stock bows.
3) A chance to do more shows and get to meet the rest of my traditional family.
4) More time to work on new bow designs and prototypes.
5) A new fleet of demo bows to be completed in the month of Feb. for the try before you buy program.
6) Completion of the missing areas of my website.
7) I am also hoping to send around a 3 piece t/d that I am just finishing the testing on.
8) Better customer service.
I'm excited and a little scared(but not as scared as my wife, LOL) about what the future will hold, but I'm in this with a great group of people.
Thanks- JD Lund
Congratulations!

I do kids bows 1 time each year before Christmas. I will take orders starting in October. JD
Congratulations on the self employment.

Sorry about your job loss JD,you have a good line of bows so hang in there.
Terry
Things will probably just get better. Hey, at least you don't have to deal with a boss anymore, right? I wish you and your family all the best!
Good luck! I like the look of your bows. What kind of speed is that 56 inch recurve putting out.
My 56"er was spitting arrows out at 160 FPS at 20 yrds,, They told me at the pro shop to add about 30 fps,, That was with a 600 grain cedar arrow, and the bow was only 53#'s@28",,
JD,
Like everyone else I'm sorry you lost you job. However, I know you will do great. I love your bows and cannot wait to get my mojo td with foam core.
R,
Mel
Best wishes and good luck in your business.
Things happen for a reason, JD. The best to you!
I'm with "Lurp Dog", you can strike off #8 because there is no improving your customer service.
Good luck Brother.
Keep this one up for a while folks. JD is a good man and is going to need some support over the next several months. So if your thinking of a new bow then take a look at JD's line. He makes a very good product and has a little something for everyone. I'm not a longbow shooter but after getting one of JD's stock bows(he cut it to center for me) I shoot my longbow just a good as my recurves. You will not be disappointed. Good luck my friend and call if you need ANYTHING!
Mike
I am going to pony up for one of your t-shirts. While I don't have one of your bows (yet..that 56 incher looks sweet) it will give you some free ad time when I wear around town, the archery store, or to shoots. Gotta support our own!

JD, Sorry for your loss but remember; One door close and another one opens.
By the way I picked up a used Mojostik last week, all I can say is WOW! It won't be my last!
Good Luck to ya Jim, you have a nice product and should do just fine. I wonder everyday how long it will be before I am forced to do the same thing!
Good Luck J.D. I hope it works out for you.

Sometimes what initially appears to be a misfortune may turn out to be a golden opportunity.
Wishing you the best with your new full time job!
I have heard a lot of good things about your bows, come to the Kalamazoo Trad show if you can, I would love to run a few arrows through one of you bows. Congrats and the best to you and your family.
Best of luck JD , your bows are top notch :0)
Good luck! My last layoff was the best thing to happen to me career wise so you never know.
I have been doing a pile or research trying to figure out what new trad bow to get this year to get me back into trad hunting and your bows are in the top of the list. I have gotten and found a lot of positive recommendations for your bows. I am sure you will do great. Let us know when you get those demo's and inventory up so I can come do some shooting.
Congratulations on your new-found career! Good luck, sometimes the worst of times are a stepping stone toward a brighter future!

Remember, you have a whole lot of people praying for you here!

JD you make a great bow, my 60" Mojostik is my favorite bow. My shooting has improved tremendously, I think your bow has definitely played a part of my improved shooting skills.
Good luck JD,most things happen for a reason.
Best wishes from me also JD! I am enjoying my mojo stick that I got from you last spring! I've been shooting these trad bows of all kinds for many years and this mojo stick is my "go-to" bow and the favorite in my collection. This bow is quality-made, fast and extremely quiet. Your service is great too and I enjoy doing business with you. Since you are now full time I guess I'll have to save up and try to get me another mojo stick this year!
Our prayers are with you in your new endeavor,
Blessings,
Rev

JD, you know I'm pulling for you...good luck and I hope you do great!
Best of luck!
JD, your bows are tops, no better advertising than great bows in the field and the trophy pictures we show others. You have our support..Roy
I have to say thanks to everyone for the encouraging words. It has had more time to set in and the fear is turning to excitement. I used to wonder how I would ever get bows to people on time, go to work 40-50 hours a week, and still see my wife and girls. Now I know that I have time to meet orders, see my family, and put all of the idead in my head into wood and fiberglass(snakeskins too). Thank you all!!! JD
The best of luck to you...Chad
your customer service is top notch, your bows are awesome. im excited for you!
Pete- Thanks for lettling me post pictures of your bow. You said that you were jealous that everyone got to see your bow before it even got to your house, but you have the FIRST one. It is one of 3 prototypes. Get the kayak ready for next October island hunting. I think that I can talk the boss into some extra vacation time. JD
I'm happy for you man! It will all work out.
JD,
I am wishing you and your family well in this new endeavor. Being self-employed does have a lot of advantages!
JD ,
As soon as I saw your post I said a prayer for you and that your business will prosper . I will keep you in mind when I think about getting another bow .
Mike

Daren
JD,
Sorry to hear about that. I Have not told you about my bow. It is a great piece of work. I love it. I haven't had a lot of time to use it because I have been at college but it has flung a couple arrows at a few rabbits. You do some excellent work! Thank you for the amount of effort you put into making sure I was happy! Good luck!

JD, you know what I think ... your bows are the best I've ever pulled. With you going FT, maybe I'll get my "Stix Fix" a little sooner than the 8 week wait. The withdrawal pains are terrible!
you build a heck of a bow best of luck!Ralph
