picked up a used x-block sharping system. no instruction's should I use oil or water for sharpening the broadheads.

Neither.Just use it as is going from coarse to progessively finer diamond grit and you BH will be razor sharp!

The X-Block uses diamond stones which should always be lubricated with a little water. You could mix a couple drops of dish liquid in the water too but never use oil.

sharpster is right, the guy that invented them told me he uses water in one of those bottles with a sponge on top that is used to wet and seal envelopes with. he just dobbs in on as needed.
