Title: Hexpine shafts

Who uses them? And where do you get them? Your opinions about them.
I've got some that I made up for my #75 Howard Hill "Tembo".  I'd like to get some for my lighter poundage bows.

I had a dozen once a few years ago. The straightness was good, took stain well but I thought they were on the light side--weighed a bit less than my POCs. So-so on the durability.

Bob Burton of Whispering Wind Arrows, Hamilton, MT is the man in the U.S. that handles these.  The shafts are manufactured in a Canadian mill.  I just tried Bob's web site but it is not coming up - server issues?

I have some from Whispering Wind. They work great for me because the footed shafts can me made to accomadate 32 inch arrow. Mine are spined at 94 pounds and shoot great out of a 75# Brackenbury. They weigh 700 gr with 4-fletch and a 125 gr. Woodsman head. Mike

Like Mike, I use the footed hexpine arrows from Whispering Wind Arrows.

I was on Whispering Winds site just a short while ago - emailed him too about the 34" shafts I need.

Did not know he was just 3 days horse ride south of here!

My guess is that there's something temporarily wrong with his website.  I talked to him Friday morning (1/16) and had shafts on Thursday (1/22).  That's with a postal holiday (1/19) in the middle there.  
Seemed pretty quick to me.  And he was a nice guy to boot.
I'm happy.

I've used Hexshafts for 3 years and can't find any fault with them. I shoot 60-65 # out of PSAX
Widow and my Bear "A" riser T/D the bows are 55# and 57#.........

I use them (non-footed) and think they're great. The only think is, I forgot to cut them off, so they're full length! They work fine, hold up well, are are well matched for spine and shaft weight when you get them.  As they don't have a "weak" spine direction, you really can't make a mistake when installing nock either.  You won't find anyone better than Bob to work with.
