I am looking for a longbow with the following.
1. Under 62" 2. Take down (2 piece only)
3. Lower wrist grip 4. forward handle
What fits these requirements?
I think you can get a MOAB in that configuration. I can't think of a better bow. As fast as they come, beautiful, and from a great guy!
Shrew, Centaur, Holm-Made, Sarrels...to name a few...good luck....
I like the Toelke Whip as well, but it isn't a forward handle. What is your draw length?
I have a 28 inch draw length.
Thunder Horn
60" Whip would work for you with a bow bolt. If you don't like the thumbrest you could get a Classic, same bow without the thumbrest. Of course you could go shorter with a Shrew. Tons of bows out there, you'll have a bunch of choices with a 28" draw length as well. Good luck...Mike
With those features a Shrew with a Bow Bolt would be ideal -- other than the year wait.
Allan
Griffin and Treadway bows are worth looking into also.
I have a St. Charles Pacific Yew that matches all those specs except for the forward handle. Check out Jay's bows. Mine is very smooth, and beautiful to boot.
If possible I would like a non sleeve take-down. Seems like there are better options out these days.
Take a look at this link from earlier today right here on Trad Gang:

Oops! Wrong link. Scroll back to Tippits post from earlier today. Great pics of just what you are looking for.
I am now on the list for a Griffin "Gnat"
Treadway Black Swamp
Bill
58" or 60" thunder child with carbon and glass socket. Jam up bow. Fast, Quiet, Oh yeah beautiful too. All that and have it in 6 to 10 weeks.
What could be better, BigJim
OK Big Jim, lets see some pics of the Thunder Child...it sounds cool
yep! we need more info on the "thunder child".
Will try to list some pictures by this weekend. I have one in the spray room now and a couple in the works.
thanks, BigJim
I've got a 58" ACS-CX, which is a great bow. Bob Lee makes TD longbows down to 54"!
