Ok guys I just purchased a 58" take down Silvertip and have a question. I have a Blacktail that likes to be gripped tight. I have a Black Widow that likes all the pressure in the web of your hand and none on the palm. So where have you guys found the sweet spot is on the grip of your Silvertip's?
Man TJ, If I had to worry about all that when I shot, I wouldn't hit the BS of a barn!
When I ordered my bow from Paul back in '86, I told him I shot with a straight wrist....he recommended a low wrist grip......
The grip on mine has a small throat too....I made a mold of it and every bow I've ordered since then, has the same grip....About anyone that has grabbed my bows have liked it....
So now I can switch from it, to either of my two Kwyk Styks and everything feels the same.....I can pick up any of those three bows and not have to think about anything but pulling back and shooting.....
But like I said, I shoot with a straight wrist, so I only really contact the throat area.....
Well Guru you have been lucky if every bow that you've ever owned likes to be gripped the same way. Every bow I've ever owned has had a sweet spot in how you grip it and shoots most consistent in that way. Sounds to me like your recommendation on gripping my Silvertip is with the all the weight in the throat. That's how my Widow enjoys being held. I just received it in the mail so I'll know here very shortly.

I unlike Curt like a meaty grip, when I order my Silvertip, I too will send one to be copied, this shouls allow it to be shot in the same manor as my RERs. Shawn
