Hi everybody,
As a new member i find quite normal to introduce myself.
I'm Bernard (Ben) and i'm 43. I'm Belgian but living and working in UK.
I'm addicted to hunting (rifle and bow). I hunt mainly in France and Belgium.
I decided to join the "gang" after discovering so interesting topics in the forum.
I shoot a Fred Bear Grizzly 55# and a canadian flat bow Millenium 55#. I use mainly Easton XX75 2117 arrows.
Unfortunately, bowhunting is not yet legal in Belgium but well in France.
I look forward to read you
Kind regards to all of you
Ben67

Hi all of you!
Thanks for welcome
I'm from East Anglia, region of Cambridge
Soon, there will be a pic! I promise you
Hey guys, you are great hunters.
I cannot stop reading all what you've written
Great stuff!
Thanks
Bye
Ben
PS: I'm a fan of longbow
Warm welcome to you Ben.
Pardon my curiosity but where did you hunt in France ?
Hey Ben welcome. Have you ever heard of The Archery Centre there in England? Tom, the owner is a real hoot. He has been great in getting me supplies for building Olde English bows and arrows that sell good here to the SCA shooters. (Medieval Reinactors)
If you can, look him up and report back. (Somewhere near London I think)
I would like to hear more about your hunting and shooting stories.
Have you ever been involved in FITA shoots?
For Frenchy: Ben67 is easy to understand for a french guy...
67 is Bas-Rhin (Low Rhine department) in Alsace. I spent 3 years of my life in that beautifull region. I was hunting in Sarrebourg, Moselle!
For Fletcher the arrow maker: I've heard about NFAS and there is a field association in the neighborhood (Sandy). I plan to contact them. About hunting i will report in a near future. No problems
Regarding longbows, it's more about longbows like Tomahawk which is for me one of the best in the world!
Thank you once more for welcome
Greetings
Ben
Hi Ben67,
I did my ibep course with the BBA at Sandy,if you get the chance check it out, its a fantastic setting and great course in an old wood which used to be Roman mines.
Unfortunately its too far for me to travel.
Welcome to the Gang.

We hunt for wild boar, roe deer, deer, fox, rabbit and hase. Sometimes pheasant as well.
And by you? White tail and elk? Big horn?
That should be great, lucky you...
Greetings
Ben
I hunt whitetail deer, rabbits, squirrels, turkeys, and if I can find a place near me I would like to hunt boar
Wild boar is great for hunting, believe me!
Sometimes dangerous for the dogs... :-(
