Well...it was not really the last minute. But it was the last day I could hunt deer this year. Shot her a couple days after Christmas, but just now got the pics because they were on my buddys camera. 55lb. Dakota recurve by Rick Welch. Wensel woodsman head. 10 yard hard quartering away shot, but from a low treestand. She went a (http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n132/jonsimoneau/lastdoe2008.jpg)bout 50 yards.
Funny thing about is...my buddy was in a stand right about 50 yards away. When I shot her, she ran towards him. I could no longer see the deer. I called him on his cell phone and said "can you see the deer I just shot?" He said "no." I said "it should be somewhere on your right" "oh..Yep I see her.....she's....she just went down!" SWEET!
Very good!
