About 3 months ago, I posted asking for info on Bowyers because I wanted my first Custom Bow. The choices were tough and I finally decided to go with a Texas Bowyer after he got recommended by a friend of Mine. Early December I called Bob Sarrels (www.sarrelsarchery.com) a new sponser here, and told him what I was looking for in a bow.
He said that he could do something along the lines that I wanted, and did he ever. I called him atleast once a week asking about my bow and he was more than happy to answer all my questions and put up with my nagging :smileystooges:
He pulled up and after a formal handshake he pulled the bow out. My jaw dropped when he pulled the sock off.

The mesquite veneers perfectly complimented the TX ebony riser.

After I admired it for a little while he showed me how the bow-bolt works, WOW.

That was friday evening. Saturday after the morning hunt, I pulled it out of its sock, strung it and nocked and arrow.

I have never before hit a target on the first shot with a strange bow. After that shot, I knew I had a winner. I asked my buddy to do some stump shooting with me for a few minutes and we took of along a dry creek bed shooting at anything and everything that we saw. Felt like I had shot that bow for years :archer: . The arrows flew true and all I lack now is some fine tunning to make this the most accurate bow I have ever shot.
The does were to smart for me this weekend and the only shot that was offered to me was by the biggest buck I had ever seen with a bow in my hand. He was within easy range and I drew on him three times, too bad the buck season ended 2 weeks ago. I came home empty handed, meat wise, but the bow was more than worth the trip.

Nice looking bow. When you get a chance, could you please post a photo of the entire bow fully string? I would like to see it from nock to nock.
Cool, would like to see pics when you find your camera.
Bob sure builds a nice one. Shes a looker. I have a mesquite bow and as it ages it just gets more beautiful.

I finally dug out my camera and took some more pics of the bow. Now I know what people mean when they say that pictures don't do the real thing justice.
