Post by: zinndl on January 16, 2009, 10:32:00 AM
Does anyone own a Great Northern Bushbow? I'd like to get some opinions about them. Thanks.

I've shot Ghosts and Critter Gitters for more than 20 years and have a couple in my stable now.  Very quick recurve, as fast as anything else out there.  Workmanship is top notch.  All GN bows are high quality without a lot of frills.

Great bows. The Bushbow is very stable with a classic longbow feel.  I like all of GN's bows.  Can't go wrong with them.

They are very nice bows, very quiet and nice shooters.  I have one 64" and 56@29".  It is the bow I use for hunting.

Currently have three; just seems to be the type of bow I shoot best.  The first two are similar weights; both Jackknife takedowns and snake-skinned.  Due to some shoulder trouble, I recently picked up one that was very lightly used, and about 10# lighter than what I had been shooting...practically brand new; also a Jackknife TD.  An added bonus was that the previous owner had ordered it with birdseye pecan veneers, which Jerry doesn't do very often.  It's gorgeous, and shoots just like the two heavier bows.  It'll probably be my main bow from now on; I might be selling one of the heavier bows soon; PM for details if interested.

I got a Bushbow from the classifieds 2 months ago.Shot it some, liked it alot so I sent it back to GN to have it reduced to "my" wieght and refinished. WOW it was nice before but now it is even better. 51#@29" refinished ,great people to deal with, great customer service. You cant go wrong with GN no matter what model you like.
