Title: Footing your own shafts?
Post by: jonsimoneau on January 16, 2009, 09:35:00 AM
I was reading an old article from Traditional bowhunter about footing your own shafts. Has anyone tried this?  Where can you get footing material from?

3 Rivers, among others, sales purple heart and osage footing with either the 2 wing or 4 wing cuts. They also sale a footing jig for making the 4 wing cuts on the arrow shaft.

I haven't done this yet, but it is on the to-do list.    :goldtooth:

Rick, I think it was in the Dec. 2000 issue?  Not positive.
