That's what Fred Eichler shoots. I've never shot one, but I've heard nothing but positives about the bows.

I've had a couple of Palmer bows for seven years now without any problems.  Just string them up and they're ready to go.  They shoot hard, fast and have no hand shock.  I especially like the grip of the riser (mine is the medium/regular grip he offers).  I have other quality bows such as a Widow PSA and Bob Lee recurve, and they are great shooters too.  However, when I go hunting I always take the Palmer.  I would highly recommend a Palmer bow.

BTW, I have a single (60", 46@28) and double carbon (60", 44@28) model and they both fling a heavy arrow with authority for light draw weight bows.  I draw 29.5" and they both draw very smooth with NO stack. I've killed pigs, javalinas and deer with them and have hunted elk with them also.  Oh, they kill grouse just fine too.

I will say that they are slightly louder than other bows but put a quality string on them with some quality silencers and you have yourself a quiet killing machine.

Hope this helps you decide.

Good Luck.

They are great shooting bows. I have the Palmer single carbon and it is very fast and smooth drawing. I have the 58" since my draw is 26".

Moon is right on the money. I have three, two 60" and a 58". I have a 29 1/4" draw and have no pinch problem. Mine are in the mid to upper fifty pound range and are very quick. After I got the first one I quit looking at other brands.  Ben

My Classic Double Carbon is the only recurve I have left and I won't part with it! Everything said above is right on. Ken

I can tell You that Ksbowman ( Ben ) shoots his very well!! I've never shot one but Ben's bow is very quiet even with a quiver mounted to it.

I had one that was so loud it sounded like a rifle going off and could not get it quiet no matter what string material or silencing method I used. That said, I think I had a bad one and would like to try another as It was very fast and I absolutley loved the grip.

Have a buddy in Texas who shoots one and loves it...

Look out for cracks in the limb bolt holes on the limbs themselves. I also had a riser failure in my Legend II   :( . I really like the grip and the bow performs well once you dial it in to the "sweet spot". Even with the quality control issues I still own one and it is my other go to bow for hunting.

Great bows! One of the "top ten" for recurves I would say.
