Its the last day of archery season here in IL and way too cold for me. I bought 4 pcs. of 8' 1x3 pine and 2 36" dowels, thus the $10.07..I fired up the table saw and 3 hours later this is what I ended up with...

that's buggin me too :)
It's OK, there's always at least one odd ball in the bunch.
looks like the profile of a Shaftcaster....but I don't think they made metal risers.
nice, i am planning on something similar maybe this weekend.
The one on top is a Darton Executive target bow. The bow that is backwards is my sons. He likes the coin showing, says its cool :) .
Wow! I think it's amazing you could get that many bows out of $10 worth of wood!
Seriously, thought, that's a nice looking bow rack.
Pine is cheap..$2.17 for 8' board. All 4 were 8.69 and the dowels were only .69 each..
Nice Work!!
Nice rack!
Ok, I have a stupid question. How are the arrows held? I though maybe there were holes drilled through the top but then I the arrows alternat point up and point down. I have a rack I made in high school but it's such a pain to get the arrows out. I drilled holes through to top (my board was laid flat on top). Problem you have to slide the arrows all the way up and out. If you mount the rack too high on the wall the arrow hits the ceiling before you get it out.
I see my typing is terrible. I hope you get the idea. I will s l o w d o w n!
Looks good. You get an more bows and you will need to make another one, that one is already full.
great work
I tell ya I like it a lot! My next project is a bow rack! Well done!
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice my mess up on the arrows. :) The arrows that arent fletched will stay like that. The ones with the tips have to be put in from the front side of the rack( remove the bows). The holes are drilled in the center of the top board.I added the side racks for my Broad head arrows.(see pic below). I drilled a hole in the center, then used my jig saw to make grooves for the blades to fit thru. I used the left over boards for the bh racks.Good thing I have a ton of arrows... :)

Nice job. I think I would have made it with an extra place for your next bow. :bigsmyl:
What's the length and width of the rack?
Excellent!!
What kind of bow is the top one?
The length is 4'. I cut 2 of the 8'ers in half for the front and sides. The width is 20" inside to inside. You will need 5 of these. The pegs are 6" apart down the front. This centered them all the way so you have equal distance from the top to bottom. I drilled about 3/4 of the way thru the face boards and used gorilla wood glue for the pegs. The pegs are 4" long
The bow on top is a Darton Executive.
7 bows! That's a nice bow rack, but if you buy anymore you may have to to just build an add on room to your house and make all the walls with hangers on them ;)
Very Nice. :notworthy:
