Hi all, does anyone make or sell suresgrips for longbows that are textured like a beavertail? I had thought i had seen these some place before but checked k king,3rs/ black widows bows and most sponsors on here!! maybe i was just dreaming!! maybe I'm on to a marketing idea here??!! thanks, jim
Hey Jim,
Long time no see. How ya been? I thought you lived closer to Linc. Did ya move?
To answer your question. I think you MAY be thinking of a thin ostrich leather grip? I saw one on a longbow at Denton Hill last year.
Ostrich leather is textured with little dimples from the removal of the feathers.

Hey John, Yes,It's has been along time my friend! I moved to cicero a couple years back from lpool, i wish i did live closer to linc,I'd have him still shooting his bows more, he gets me into trad and he fades out! I've seen the ostrich grips your talking about, I had thought I seen rubber, fake beavertail grips someplace! I have been trying to put real beavertail on my bow but can't get the lacing right, the tail rips to easy!! I have 3 more tails in the freezer to work with, but this all takes time away from shooting!!Jim
Yeah I know Linc Isn't shooting much at all these days. I shot with him once or twice at Deerslayers this past summer. I don't think I've ever seen rubber textured grips.
Contact Abe Penner at Cari-bows. I think he is a sponsor on here. He uses really nice beavertail grips and shelf rests. Maybe he can help you out with how to make the best use of your beavertails.

Thanks John, I may just do that, I got one tail to work for now,but i need to do one up a little better, my stitching needs some serious work though!! hopefully this summer we can get together at some shoots, i don't usually go to them much anymore cause of the expences and such but i miss all my old friends!!
