This christmas I had told my Mrs that I wanted to try the Arrow Dynamics shafts to see what all the "buzz" was about. Well did I ever find out! These shafts are the best shafts I have ever shot. Ted at Raptor was a HUGE help. The arrows were a little on the light side ( so I thouht) and contacted Ted and he told me ship him one and he will look into it.
Long story short, It was me that could not get it right. Since Ted had one of my arrows there, and I am a huge fan of heavy arrows he did a little expermenting with beefing up the weight. Heres what I ended up with....
AD traditional ( cut to 31"), 160 gr tip, with a 100 gr steel adapter, with a 100 gr brass insert that is glued into the arrow. Any one thats counting thats 360 grains up front with a total arrow weight of 685gr (with broadheads) and 710 with the field points.
I shot these out of a 58# longbow, and let me tell you....They hit with some authority!!! A big THANK YOU to TED at RAPTOR for helping this cheesehead out. Glad I found my " go to" guy!!! :thumbsup:
Ted knows his business and yes the AD shafts are winners best arrows I have found so far for my bows.
