OK, so I bought one of your high falutin (sp?) flashlights this past summer.
Yeah it is purty, and light weight. yeah, my wife hates when I shine it at her cause it is too bright and it hurts her eyes. Yeah I carried it (and used it) during fall turkey season, gun deer season, three months of bow deer season, two weeks of Colorado elk hunting, several fishing and scouting trips, numerous weekends at the cabin and I just got yelled at again by my wife for shining her again.
My question... when the heck are the batteries gonna wear out ?
 ChuckC
Yeah, it is very impressive. We keep telling guys but I don't think people believe us. Even after viewing the 2 part demo tape on our website it's hard to believe. I put new batteries in mine the end of September. Here it is January and they're still going strong. I hunt A LOT too. In fact, I used it on another bloodtrail yesterday evening. Although my bloodtrails usually aren't that long :^) but Gene held the light while I field dressed the buck and dragging him out, etc. The thing never ceases to amaze me. So do your wife's eyes shine red or green at night? Thanks. bw
LOL...thats great! My wife's shines red... :scared:
She is pretty quick at shutting them, soI can't answer that. She has two Miniature Pinscher dogs, brothers. One has red eyes and the other green (when lit at night). Pretty weird.
Thanks for turning me on to that little light. It is a keeper.
Your latest buck... a nice one ?
(pix ?)

Chuck what are you doing deer hunting with a flashlight?????????
Chuck: There's a picture of the buck on another thread on here. The landowner sold the farm and we had to be off by Saturday so he said to not be too picky. About fifteen minutes before I shot this buck I had a monster come by with a gray face, huge/barrel chest and two red spots on his head. I bet he would have dressed 240. I got depressed so this 5x5 took one for the team. :^) bw
Ah, ya got to see a nice one up close. That is half the fun at least. Congrats
To John. hey.... "I do some of my best hunting at night !" (Escanaba in da Moonlight)

I should get one of those super flashlights for hunting and one for work. A couple years ago the power went out at the prison I work at and the back up generator failed. Suddenly I was dodging all kinds of objects being thrown at me and when I got my flashlight out to see who my fans were, it put out this puny dim light! So I did the smart thing and high tailed it to my office! :readit:
My wife got me one for Christmas...I've always been a flashlight junkie, my wife will tell ya that!
This light is the absolute pinnacle of little hunting flashlights...without a doubt. The ultimate anything flashlight really. I got to use it several times in TX this past week....I luv it and will be using it for a long, long time....
Everyone in camp that saw it was very impressed
OK, where do you find info on this light?

I also got one for christmas from my sister in law. Im very impressed with it, it out performs the surefire brand at about half the price. What a great light. Unfortunately it will have to wait to be used till this spring as there is nothing to hunt right now. I got my sister law in the eyes with it christmas morning. She wasnt too happy. Her eyes shine green by the way.
what about the bulbs? are they replaceable?
You cant have too many flashlights esp. if you live in a rural area where the lights go off constantly..PR
The bulb is rated at 50,000+ hours, which essentially means the rest of your life.

I hope that works
I did have to change the batteries once this year, but then again I had THREE super long and difficult nighttime trails this year (over an hour each), plus a several other nighttime blood trails, plus field dressing of animals, and put in about 60 hunts total (a low number for me, but more than most folks. And on the toughest of those trails, my Dad's best buck ever, about 80 yards of it was a pinhead size drop of blood about every 5'. I'm positive I would not have found that deer that night without that particular flashlight.
It is literally like night and day when comparing other flashlights I've used to the Main Beam. No comparison.
No complaints with my light! The batteries lasted me all season, plus some dog walking duties. I don't usually run it on high, unless I really need to, and it is still going strong. I think it is just as easy to get in and out of the woods with the light on low, when needed.
I just watched the Video and my wife happen to walk by while Barry was doing the Defuser Demo in Part 2.......

Bad Timing
LOL...yeah really bad timing! :biglaugh: Whatcha doin there Barry?
PERVERTS!!!! bw
You guys bringing some extras to the Pig Gig? Hint, hint... :readit:
I had the same idea as knife river
I have two of these lights. The lowest setting is all the light I ever need. Used one of them the entire fall season, and I hunt allot. Still on the same batteries. I've given away my streamlights.
I was fortunate to have one of the fine bearded fellows :-) on Bear Quest II gift one of the Fenix lights to me and it is A-1.I am a flashlight "Junkie" like Guru and I have tried many different ones :Surefire,Princeton,Maglite to name a few.NO comparison FENIX is the best hands down !!
Get even more use out of it by picking up one of
the headband that holds light, making yours hands free to grab onto the handles of Big Bucks !!
I used mine on several night time trails in TX, and never needed to get any higher than "two clicks"...that left one more and then "turbo".....amazing little light
I love mine too!!! Wish I had got the diffuser.
actually, I believe that when on turbo, this this is all the light needed to shine a coon 50 feet up in a tree and let you see what color its eyes are... I mean real color, not red or green.
Yep, all the above. I am impressed.
and.... although it is not the cheapest... I typically don't lose it every time I shoot !
