which one do you use..this will kinda go with my lasy poll
ok i wanna know i like both but feel i have a more cosistant anchor with split finger whats your opinion
I feel like I get a smoother release with 3 under, but my bows seem quieter with spit finger so I choose quiet.
Both, If Im close say 5 yards 3 under gives me a lower impact point, with same anchor.
I voted my conscience here Steve. I shoot split left handed (my dominate), but I shoot three under right handed. And, yes I am a true ambidextrious shooter. I shoot equally poor with either hand.
3-fingers under by far and away more consistently accurate for me. Noise and speed seem to be the same...shot split for 22 years and can't imagine going back.
I started out three under then moved to split,Jesse. :archer:
There's just something that doesn't feel right to me about 3 under. Who knows!? Split for me. Matt
I couldn't get the hang of split fingers, so its 3 under for me!
Split finger for me.
Split for me,always have just feels more natural.
I started out split finger many years ago. When I was trained for NASP they teach three under. I shifted. I don't notice any real difference so hhave stuck with three under so I can demonstrate the recommended form when I shoot with my students.
3 under for me, just feels wrong if i shoot split finger.
Split for me. I tried three under with my longbow and it seemed louder and I was less consistent.
Bakes
Once again it depends on the bow!
On my target bows, split is required by target rules.
on my hunting bows - 3 under
on my longbow with a nocking button - 3 under
on my self bows with no nock point (not allowed) split
Do I get to vote 5 times here also?
ive tried 3under but it feels unnatural to me. split finger for me all the way.
Shot split for years. switched to two under this past season. Using a two under tab. quiet and smooth.
I was taught to shoot split finger when I was 8 or 9 years old about 40 years ago. I've tried 3 under and gap shooting but I could never get used to it. Seems like it should work better but for me it doesn't. Split finger instictive works best for me.
3 under (Apache).lot better arrow flight..
:campfire:
Split finger along with a Damascus glove works for me!!!!!! :archer:
To each his own I guess. I shot split finger for about 7 years, and then switched to 3 under. I shoot MUCH better 3 under. Took a few weeks to get used to it, but I won't go back now.
Ditto what Jon said.
Ditto what Jon and Mark said...

Split. Just feels right.
You guys who shoot three under, do you ever have a problem with the arrow coming off the string and causing a dryfire? I can shoot with the three under method, but I never seem to get over the fear of, "Is the arrow nock still clipped to the string.", while at full draw.
Started with split and shot for many years that way... tried 3-under about 2 1/2 years ago and was way more consistant in my shooting... been 3-under ever since.
foxbo - it sure will if there is no nock button! That is why I shoot longbow and self bow split. I do not have any trouble with three under on the hunting bow and I use a single nock button.
3U for me...first time I picked a bow up that is what felt right so I stuck with it.
learned shooting split and shot very well. Tried 3 under about 4 years ago and shoot even better.
I have never had a problem with the arrow nock coming off of the string and do not use a bottom nock, just put my finger against the arrow nock.
Problem I do not like is the bow seams to be louder to me with 3 under.
My ncoks are very loose (they get that way due to serving wear) and I've never had a probelm with an arrrow falling off or dry fire. You still have some finger contact the the arrow even with 3 under so it's not like that can happen anyway.
However I did have a problem with the nock slipping down which required a smaller string tie on nock under the arrow along with the usual top one.
Shot split years ago. Went to 3 under in late '90s. Felt weird at first, but then got used to it and never looked back. Now, split feels funny!
split - 3 under just doesn't feel comfortable.
