I've been lurking on this site for a bit and have learned an awful lot (thanks to all!). After lusting after a longbow for some time, I bought a used, but nice, Bear Montana.
Having been exposed to a large number of bows on the forum, I wanted to get another and began looking hard at the different bowyers and products. One call to Vince at Mohawk sealed the deal. When the owner isn't around but a pleasant lady takes your number, then you get a call back from the man who is going to make your bow and he takes the time to answer all of your stupid questions, well, that is enough for me.
Thanks again to all the great folks on the forum, lots of info and just good people.
After shooting deer with my sniper rifle (nuisance permit, I'm a police officer with a municipality in Central Ohio) I'm looking forward to a more sporting effort. Heading out in the morning to see if the Montana and I can stick a broadhead into something other than a blockhead target.

I did see the video,it helped me spend money! I was torn between the Mohawk or a Shrew, will probably own one of each before long. They are addictive. There is just something about the longbow that speaks to me, I've been having a blast with it.
