Planned on going but getting 3-5 " of snow today[wed] and can't wait to call coyotes this weekend.Nothing beats a pair of deer eaters running to you in the snow, plus I'm getting them back for eating my buck this year!!7 of them came by me three morn. ago! Good luck guys!!John Benetti, Hillsdale,In.
-
they got yotes at Atterbury too :D
Can someone put an x on a map to show exactly where the cabin is?
-
When you get on the part of 252 that runs along Atterbury and Johnson Co. Park you would turn right at the sign that says Johnson Co. Park.... (This is if you are coming in from the east). Go down a ways and turn left. You will pass a building that says something about the campground office. Keep going until you see a sign above the gateway entrance to where the boyscout cabin is located. It says Boyscout Area, I think. It would be a right hand turn. NightHawk is going to pick up the key to open the gate and the cabin. I'm planning to be there by nine.
I probably couldn't fiqure out how to put an X on the spot and post it.
And... EVERBODY CAN STOP DANC'N NOW!!!

will not be able to attend...if anyone wants to go on a later date p.m. me and ill hook up on some private property i have....went out last weekend and ran 5 w/the dogs good times everyone from our group got a shot so really good times....

Dang guys don't start bailing out. The weather is going to be perfect for shooting bunnies with bows.
It's always the same. A bunny romp sounds good from the comfort of sitting in front of your computer but when you actually have to get up from your chair and go out into the cold, it's not so attractive :)
Don't wimp out!!!! Personally, I'm going to be dressed warm and tracking bunnies in the snow. I don't think it'll melt; will it?
Don't forget your orange everybody!!!
Peace.
-
How much snow on the ground by Sat. at Atterbury?Do you want me to bring some beagles?
-
John, I ain't no wimp! I'll be there and I'll drag the old man by his ear if I have to. I plan on being there around daylight thirty.

Mike, Saturday it is supposed to be around 30 or so that should feel like summer weather after tomorrow! I know it was cold, cold, cold, this evening shoveling the drive!
-
"Guys, guys, ahhh come on" I love that movie :)
-
gotta pack the safety glasses.....
-
Flatstick and his daughter Megan are coming for sure........I may have to work, so I am still a maybe. With the winds we have been having, safety hasn't let us use manlifts or the 'picker, so we may have to work Saturday to play "catch up". Mike

Ethan and I are rollin': chili, bows, and boots in hand.
Calvin will be joining us tomorrow, he's from South Carolina and a self taught-self bowyer, arramaker and a lot of fun to be around..
c'mere little furry critter :wavey: :campfire:
-
Just curious...do you guys just walk around and try to see them setting, or do you kick them out of brush piles, or do you use dogs.....???? Also are you using Judos instead of field tips or broadheads?
-
CBH, I imagine that before it's over we will try all of those methods!
When I hunt them by myself I hope for fresh snow and slowly track them while watching ahead for a sitting bunny, and watching where the ones I jump run to so I can try and put a sneak on them!
-
picked up the key a little bit ago. I'll probably spend the night in the cabin so I can be there to let folks in in the morning (I can sleep in a little). The park has cut down some osage trees and piled the brush up. Looked like might be a stave or 2 in that pile John will know for sure. I have some pallets and a pole piece (cedar)for a small bonfire tomorrow, if ya'll want.See you guys in the morning or tonight (billy) whichever comes first
-
I had a little hiccup at work. I have to work for a few hrs this morning. I'll probably end up out there around noon or so.
