Title: Finger Slip?
Post by: DelSnavely on January 05, 2009, 04:45:00 PM
I'm hoping some of you guys can help on this. I shoot split finger and once in a while my ring finger acts like it's "weak" and slips off the string. I can still shoot with two fingers and it doesn't seem to effect my accuracy. Maybe that finger is just weaker than the others, I don't know. I shoot a 45#@28" Bear Montana but it's happened on other 40# bows as well. Do any of you have this problem?

Thanks!
Del

When I shoot my ring finger naturally comes off the string until it more or less rests on the side, it actually causes a smoother release you should not bury your srting to the knuckles you will tend to roll it on draw and release wich will cause bad arrow flight and trouble tuning.

Are you using a deep hook when you grip the string?  If not, you may wanna try that.
