anybody looking forward to using this head?
being that its 3/8'' wider than the original how much would that slow down its penetration?
im excited about it,looks awesome!!
Lets see one!!
i dont know how to post pictures yet but there site german kinectics shows them.125,150,180 are the sizes
man they are cool looking
The website shows them at 1.25" wide?
ad bowman thats in correct, not to be disrespectful but the new silverflame xl is 1.5''[38mm]
the regular silverflame is 1 1/8''
That's awsome, I've been hopeing for that size.
Where can you buy these heads? Every time I go to the web page it says they are sold out.
I meant to say the website shows them at 1 1/8" wide.I guess I'll give Herb a call and see if he has any. Would like to see a pic of one.

Great looking heads. I see where the 1.5" 's are made thinner then the orginals.
GOOD LOOKING HEADS

to my knowledge, blade thickness is the same.i will have to ask about that but the dealer in colorado said they will be ready for sale here in the states around 3-4 weeks from now.
i cant see that he made them any thinner though, that wouldnt make sense to me
I'm getting the 180gr. I shoot the 1 1/8" Silverflames now but do not tend to get real good blood trails with these heads. I have shot 9 animals with them this year and nothing went over 60 yds but there was a couple of them where I was scratching my head trying to figure out the blood trail. I hope the XL's will open up a bigger hole and leave a better trail.
Bisch
those are some fine looking heads alright, But I can't justify the cost. I can sharpen a magnus or zwicky head so it will shave a buffalo for about 1/3 the cost of a Silverflame, I think if I were to hunt Cape Buffalo I might consider one but to shoot a deer or Elk naw it isn't needed. and to top it off its only a 2 bladed head
Actually, about 1/6th the cost. Blood trails aren't long if the arrow goes where it should, but some folks just keep looking.
George what took you so long? As soon as I saw this thread I knew you'd be onto it :-)
$35 for a head is nothin! I see you haven't bought a jacket since high school so I know you won't be buying any SF's....
And Biggie, have you seen the price of 8-track tapes lately?
Heck guys it's only money if you have it buy the best.If not buy a Mangus it will do the job just fine also.I would love to send a $35 knife grade work of art into some game.Who knows maybe some day I will buy myself a pack. I don't loose a broadhead a year in the field and if I did loose one on a deer or turkey I bagged I would consider it money well spent.
