Title: Tippit Knives???
Post by: L. E. Carroll on January 03, 2009, 04:08:00 PM
I was lucky , VERY LUCKY!!!! to get 1 of Jeff's knives.  Realizing, he "NEVER SELLS" one, I'm curious, who else has been so lucky.  Jeff is a wonderful guy and makes a beautiful knife mine "Little Razor" is "High Up" on my list of Prized Possesions.  I had mine made into an Awesome "Arm Guard knife" with the help of Matt Hayes, a real atrist with leather in the Portland Ore. area.

Jeff gave me one a couple years ago.  Love that little knife.  Have used it on deer, hogs, goats, bear.  Jeff is class act, and makes a great knife.   I also have a couple of Rob's (robattoo), also great work.  And Ray Hammond made a knife for me at is very special.  There is a "Sticshooter Knife" in my collection, and a Doug Campbell necker also.  I do love knives.   There are some great knife makers on TradGang!!

I have an Osage handled Bird and Trout Style knife Jeff Gifted me.  It probably takes the best edge of any knife I own.  It is a fine blade and an even finer man.  Doc is one of a kind!

I don't own one of Doc's kinives myself. However I have had the pleasure of hunting with him the last 4-5 years and we've skinned somewhere between 30-35 bears together with some of his blades and they preform the task flawlessly everytime.bd

You guys are makin' me blush.  They are just  therapy knives...hunks of steel that I get to pound on.  Nothing fancy like the real knife makers on the "Hunting Knives and Crafters" Forum.  The good thing is I don't get many complaints about the price  :)   Thanks for your kind comments...Doc

I can only wish for one. His work looks to be top notch and I think they are SWEET looking to boot. 30-35 Bears skinned should tell ya something about the quality. Flint
