Finally tried hunting with a selfbow and stone point and had some luck. The little buck was shot at 12 steps and never made it out of sight.
Impressive! Congrats on the success!
Congratulations!!! Do you have a pic of the point you used?

Nice! Good looking bow too...
Awesome. I hope to one day achieve that. I would also like to see a picture of the point you are using. That bow looks cool and has proven to be very effective also.
Nice going!!

Here's a better pic of the arrow and point used.
The bow was built by a friend in south Arkansas. Hickory 54#@28 with cow horn nocks, rattlesnake on the limbs and chickensnake on the grip. Real good shooter.
That's a great display! Congratulutions.
Congrats, looks like a prefect shot! I agree very nice display!!!!!!

Good job dude that is a cool display but that bow is really good looking. Who knapped your heads? Do you do it yourself? Anyway congrads on a nice deer.
Congrats!
Good stuff right there!
I like your plaque Chris, you should have left the ugly fellow off though!!
Congrats, you've just joined a very exclusive club. That is if you don't count the thousands of Indians and Cave Men before you. ;)
Definitely a feat by today's standards where most are searching for an easier, faster way to achieve their goals. :clapper:
Very cool!
Nice looking bow, perfect shot, cool point, good meat and challenge met! Admirable!
Beautiful tribute you made there!
Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment! Funny I should say that, as all hunting used to involve so much personal craftsmanship...
I guess that's the alure of Traditional archery, eh?
FANTASTIC!
Steve glad you were at camp with me. It takes another traditional hunter to appreciate our sport. Hope we get to hunt together several more times. I'll get you on a hog before it's over with. Just let me know when you want to come back to the flat ground.
.Excellant, sir!
Great shot - just curious about one thing. With a self bow and stone point why did you choose the modern fletch and plastic nock? Have you tried self nocked arrows with straight cut fletch? They are the most authentic looking.
Impressive! Congratulations!
Had that arrow already made and it spun perfect. Might try the other later.
Congrats Again Chris!!! Awesome all the way around. :notworthy: ... Even if Peacheys Mug is in the pic :jumper: :jumper:
