I have some Wusthof knives and use a Chef's electric sharpener - incredibly sharp knives in a minute or two.
Thing is ..... broadheads need to have a lot of edge to them and a small ferrule to "fit" in the grooves. I love the idea, just can't find a broadhead that'll work well, or a sharpener thats electric like this Chef's and will do broadheads.
Anybody use electric sharpeners for broadheads and if so, what brand broadheads and sharpener? THANKS
Most use stones or files to sharpen BH's
mysticguido I know ..... I'm just looking at an alternative. I know if I could get a broadhead to go through this Chef's electric sharpener it would be the BOMB!
I think, maybe, the big 2 blade Zephyr heads might work ...
The large Deadheads might work if you can pry some away from somebody.
too radical an idea I guess huh ?
:(
I found a "new" Chef's Choice diamond hone sharpener I bet would be the BOMB .... I don't have $400-500 to spend on one today though :(
I use crock sticks to touch up my 2 blade heads and knives. Got a small set that stays in my pack when I'm in the field. Never really used the electric jobs and always do it by hand. That way, I'm not dependent on having electricity to sharpen my heads/knives.
Not a sermon, just a thought....

Brad I sent you a PM
I've heard of people using the 8inch wheels from grizzly.com (part of the razor sharp system). There was a thread on here a while ago about it. They fit of a grinder. I never did try it but thought about it. Gary
