Does anybody here shoot or has shot a Check-Mate Longhorn bow? I have seen them on their website but was wondering if anyone here had any advice as to how they shoot in general. I have personally only shot my Bears and a Samick longbow so not much diversity on my part. Any help is good help so I am asking the "experts".

I've shot the Longhorn a few times. It was ok but I like their Crusader,Hunter 2,and Falcon better.
CheckMate bows are good priced bows with a great warranty.I would much rather have one than a Samick.
Never shot a Longhorn but Check- Mates are very well made good shooting bows for the Bucks.
The Chek-Mate Longhorn is great bow. My son owned one for a while. Only reason he sold it is because he never had time to shoot or hunt. I shot it a lot though, and liked it a lot.
They're very smooth shooting for a hybrid type longbow. I also had a Chek-Mate Hunter recurve, and although the Longhorn wasn't as smooth as it was....... it was still a excellent bow.

I haven't shot any of the checkmate longbows but I just bought a Checkmate Hunter from a fellow tradganger. 56" long 51 lbs @ 29" sweet shooter.
I know a few others that own checkmate hunters and hunter II recurves and you can't pry them out of their hands. If their longbows are as good as their recurves I don't see how you could go wrong.
I've had my hands on a couple of longhorns. Personally, I like'em. The last one I shot almost came home with me. If I hadn't already dropped some cash on a new bow, it would have.
Thanks everyone for everything.
