I've been stalking around for bunnies and haven't had much luck (though all through NOV/DEC they were crawling all over the place in my woods!)
I have two arrows with Judo heads and one rivercane arrow I made with a blunt made out of an old .38 case, but what are other good bunnyheads to use?
I also got to wondering; why is it that we DON"T use just regular old target points? Is it because of what it will do to the game or what (just always wondered)...?
I like either standard steel blunts, Bunny Busters (from Ace), or old braodheads.
I do not like judo's b/c the springs are too wide, and when shooting into brush they are easily tangled up
Target points would probably work.
You can also take you glue-on points and cut a 1/4 inch slot on the back end, then peel back the metal. this will put a little flange on the end.

Field points are no good. They penetrate and CAN kill, but blunts kill by shock and massive tissue damage depending on the head.
I've lost bunnies when not center-punching them so I'm a fan of blunt tipped broadheads. I have some old 5/16" MA-3's that work well for me.
If using aluminum or carbons a washer behind a field point or blunt works well too.
3Rivers has a new small game head that is similar to the Ace Hex Blunt. I saw it in use last weekend and it looks like a winner.
I don't like Judos for small game. I normally shoot around 50# and I've had too many 'hit' rabbits get away.

I like Judo points for small game. Maybe it is because I have them on 700 grain arrows out of a 64# recurve but they tear stuff up from ground squirells to jack rabbits to big blue and sage grouse. The only thing I ever used them on that got away was a big rockchuck/groundhog. I have even killed porcupines with them. Next after that would be old broadheads and rubber blunts for smaller critters of which cottontails are classified. Joseph

made out of empty 30-30 cartriges.

I just took a look at those. Nice looking head. I'm going to have to order me a few of those.
Other than Hex heads I like using beat up broadheads for bunnys.
Field tips work great for me,judos get tangled in the brush.
NUTTERS. Man I have seriously never seen a head hit as hard (and cost so little) as the good ole 5/16 inch nut screwed onto a wood shaft. I have only killed four rabbits with my bow and the nutter did it all.

Judo, field tip with fender washer behind it, cheap clearance broadheads from walmart.
Judo is my first choice, however as stated above they can be a pain in thick brush. Get a field point about five to ten grains lighter than you would regularly shoot(this is for screw in head users)then get an aluminum washer, or steel if that makes up for the reduction in weight. put the washer on behind the field point. They do a fantastic job....the poor man's blunt if you would.
nutters and hexheads..broad heads would work to if you dont have a dog with ya.
