Title: Caloused third (ring) finger
Post by: Greg Owen on December 29, 2008, 09:01:00 PM
I know I have read what causes this but I can't find it. I shoot split finger and my ring finger is getting really calloused and sore. I can't get the search to work with multiple words so I thought I'd just ask. Thanks. Oh and I have been using a tab.

I shoot bare fingered and get a blister under the callouse once in a while. Maybe torquing the string?

Drawing arm/elbow that is too high torques the string and creates a callous on the ring finger.

I had the same problem and consentrated on pulling the bow with most of the pressure on my middle finger and the calous went away and it improved my release.

besmo has it. Fingers need to let the string be a V, not a U.

same thing for me.  Elbow was too high.  Changed that and no more callous on my ring finger.
