I compiled up this list earlier this year. I couldn't find the ICS's for the list, need to get that one filled in.

What Diameter are the Beman 400's.

I'm not sure if this helps but I footed some Carbon Express 250's and the used 2216 aluminum shafts at the splice. I had the same question as you a couple of weeks ago and Trag Gang member Stoney sent me this information from Easton Arrows.

The four-digit number refers to the outside diameter and wall thickness of the shaft. The first two numbers are the outside diameter in 64ths of an inch. The second two numbers are the wall thickness in thousands of an inch. For example, a 2514 shaft would be 25/64th of an inch in diameter and .014 of an inch wall thickness. OD and wall thickness are the two variables in controlling spine for aluminum arrows.

Shaft Diameter – wall thickness x 2 = inside diameter of the aluminum shaft.

Either of these should work

2114
21 x .0156 = .3276 od (outside diameter)
.3276 - .014 - .014 = .2996 id (inside diameter)
.2996 - .294 = .0056 slop

2115
21 x .0156 - .3276 od
.3276 - .015 - .015 = .2976 id
.2976 - .294 = .0036 slop

Dino,

That's a nice list you have come up with. I did try, just this morning, to foot a CX250 with a 2117 and found it to be around .010 too small. The CX250s O.D. measured .305. I ended up going with the 2216 and around .006 - .007 slop.

Just curious, what is the length most people foot their arrows?

I was told not to go over 3".

Anyone know the outside dia. of a Grizzly Sitka?
I have a chart to find the right size shaft just not a micrometer to measure the Sitka.
TIA

Blackstick,
Your 100% correct and thanks for pointing it out so it can be corrected.  I just went out to the shop and tried it myself...no dice!  Couldn't get the 2117 to fit on a CX150 either.  This list I compiled from searching old threads on what guys "reported" they were using to foot various shafts, I haven't tried all of them myself.  Keep em' coming.... additions, corrections, filling in the blanks and I'll keep it up dated. dino
