Looking to buy another 3-D target( bear or hog)and would like a few suggestions/recommendations. I bought a Delta buck this year, and was very dissapointed in the quality. I had the core shot out in about 2 weeks. Dont plan on making the same mistake again with a Delta product...so help me out here. Thanks You, Shane
Rinehart. They're expensive, but quite durable and easy arrow extraction.
R&W
I'll second R & W. Very good product for the money. If you've got plenty of money then go with Rienhart.

Exactly what he said.
Don't waste your money on the Glen-Del.
Thanks for the warning on the Glen-Del,been looking at them.It took me a while to learn on the Delta buck, I even bought a replacment core, same thing,2 weeks. Is the reinhart the one thats used at most of the 3-D shoots-more of a rubber material than foam ..? Thats more what Im looking for..I think. Dont mind paying the extra, just want to know Im going to get a few more shots out of this one. Thanks
Rinehart's are the best available in my op[nion. Expensive but durable. seal up well and arrows pull easily.
Aren't there a couple different types of cores for the Glen-del??
I use the older style core Glen-del for just fine tuning my practice. Its older core (not as good as the newer model) has lasted many shots.
Mackenzie targets seem to be the most common targets at the 3-d shoots that I have been to out west.
Rineharts always make me smile. They last well and give up your arrow like a gentleman.
Killdeer
Rineharts are the Cadillac of 3D targets. If you have the money go with one of them.
Nothing wrong with the Mckenzie's, I believe Delta owns them now, except for the harder arrow removal.
I had a Glen Del and personally liked it. The life of the centers was not quite what I expected but still good enough. Apparently it was good enough for the person who stole it! For the 2 years I had mine I must say I got my monies worth out the it.

Thank you sir's ...and maam. Plan on going with the Reinhart.Any suggestions on the best place to buy one with lower, or maybe free shipping ?.I did find one on ****, $189.00(buck) with free shipping. Appreciate the help folks. Shane
I had the same experience with a delta this year. I'd say the Reinhart is your best bet.
RINEHART IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. DURABLE AND EASY ON THE ARROWS. NO POINTS LEFT BEHIND IN THE TARGET. MCKENZIES HOLD UP BUT ARE TOUGH ON THE ARROW.

I'm a Rinehart dealer.
What animal ya thinking about....?
Rinehart here as well :0)
I've got a Glen-Del its OK but I think think for the price it should be better. I just bought my first Rinehart (turkey) and I'm very impressed so far. Arrow removal is very easy. I think its Rineharts from now on for me!
KY :archer:
trust me on this...rinehart
Mikes Archery Leather + Rinehart =
I don't see the Rinehart's as expensive because of their durability and the fact you're not pi#*!ed off when a cheap target eats your arrow or falls apart in a month. Granted, Rinehart does make some pricey ones but they have reasonable deer-hog targets. If you are dead set on a moose or a velociraptor expect to pay.

Dont want to hijack your thread but - Wow you shot the core out in two weeks with a trad bow? Are you shooting broadheads at it? I have one and admittedly it is not as nice as a rinehart or even a McKenzie but I think it is going to be a while before I wear it out.

I have to agree with mark on the Delta's. I have over 20 3D targets, mostly Mckenzie, but I have the delta standing black bear, full strut turkey and boar and shoot my course almost every day when hunting season isn't in. They hold up fine, especially with trad gear. I agree that the rienharts pull easy but I don't think they look nearly as realistic as some of the others out there. Especially the replacement vital area. They don't match colors and are very visable from even a good distance. They do have a great variatey to choose from though.

Thanks every one..pm to Mike re: Reinhart. Shane
I'll have to third R&W, for the price they are the best.
Your attitude about Delta is interesting to me. I have Delta deer and bear targets and they are holding up for me very well. I've had my deer target for over a year and have shot...thousands of arrows into it. I am just now starting to feel like I need to replace the removable vital area. I normally shot field tips into my targets but have on occasion use my broadheads too.
Glad to hear that some have had good luck with Delt,if I had, I would keep shooting them, I have not. Thanks to everyone for your help. Shane
I saw an add for the ReinHart block target. There is a warranty for use even with broadheads.
We have a Reinhart stone sheep target on the range that we have lost count of the years it has been up. We had to repair the legs so it would stand up agian. It still stops arrows with no problems and we are a trad and compound bow club. Oh yes, it is outside 24/7 not covered. We are replacing the other brands of targets we have with Reinharts as we can afford it.
Just got the $189 with free shipping Rhinehart from my wife for Christmas. Boy she is a good woman. The Rhinehart is hard to beat. Happy Holidays.
