Title: strange christmas day stalk (pic)
Post by: LITTLEBIGMAN on December 26, 2008, 01:45:00 PM
I stalked the strangest creature today and all my arrows passed right thru, it left no blood trail what so ever. Has any one ever had this happen? Maybe I should use different broadheads?

I have found that field points pass through too. Never seen one with that nice a rack though. Looks like you got good and close on your stalk. Happy Holidays Jim.

Mebbe THIS is a case for the single bevels....

Try heating them with a torch, and dipping in red food color.

I only see them near roads and they always freeze in the headlights.  Urban sprawl must be encroaching their habitat. Have not spotted one in the woods yet this season.  I've tried summer spotting them but have not had much luck either.  Good that you found one this season.

Is he albino or piebald?  I'm guessing piebald due to the black eyes!

Last summer i thought i saw one when when we were using a 1 million candle power spot light but  once the beam hit him he just melted into the forest litter.

The Back straps were rather  disappointing
