First of all let me say that I'm using my Dad's login because I'm at his house for Christmas.
I just wanted to share with the Gang some of my boys favorite Christmas gifts.

Nice bows,Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.Terry
This story starts a few months ago.
I was on the phone with Mike Westvang of Dryad Bows leting him know just how proud I was of my brand new Dryad Orion longbow.
During the course of the conversation I told Mike how my youngest son told me, "Dad, that's a beautiful bow, I want one just like it!"
"Well," Mike says, "Jason and I have been talking about a new youth model bow..."
I jumped all over that! I told him right there on the spot, stop thinking about it and get after it because you've got two sold... And, by the way, I need them by Christmas!

No pressure I told him...
I just need them here BEFORE Christmas! :bigsmyl:
The new Dryad Pheonix wasn't ready to go into production just yet, but Mike and Jason didn't back up a bit, they set to the task of working their magic.
Some of you may remember that my Dad and I got sister bows, Dryad Orions, made from Bocote and Pau Santo a few months back. We elected to build these kids bows to match. The same wood combos as Dad and I used in a rverse pattern.
This first ever set of Dryad Pheonix Youth Bows are a sister set just like may dad and I have.
Here are the 4 bows together:

Having enlisted Mike and Jason to build the bows I set about to build Back Quivers for my young archers.
Mine part didn't take as much work as what Mike and Jason did, but I thought they turned out nice, and the boys were sure proud of them!

I just can't say enough good about Mike and Jason and these hot new youth bows!
The Dryad Pheonix is the newest bow in the incredible Dryad Inventory and my boys are certainly enjoying shooting the first two ever built!
These bows are fast, quiet, and hard hitting! My oldest was shooting lights out in just a few moments. The handle is a minature version of the adult sized Dryad bows and pointing and shooting the bow is literally as natural as pointing your finger!
I want to say a real BIG Thank You to Mike and Jason of Dryad Bows!!!! You have made my boys have a tremendous Christmas!
I'll be back later with anothe picture or two but, for the time being, Merry Christmas to all of you. God Bless.
Here's three Generations of McCalls all shooting matching Dryad Bows.
That's how we roll around here!

Pretty cool, sure are some nice looking bows! Merry Christmas!
Those young men were sure a pair of happy future bow hunters. The bows were beautiful and shot really great. The boys shot them very well today and Dad and Granpaw are looking forward to future hunts with these young men.
What an awesome Christmas! Nothing better than spending time with your kids. I had my three and my three grandkids here yesterday. They all took off for their inlaws today, so it's just Grandma and me today. Sure is quiet! Too quiet, if you know what I mean.
Those are beautiful bows. I just love bocote limbs. Thanks for sharing.
That is just AWESOME :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

Thanks Shaun, the oys are eating it up. It won't be long until I'm gonna have to take the older one down to Texas so he can draw blood with his new bow on South Texas Porker! They want to do everything just like Daddy -- and tey are well on their way.
Mike was talking about getting the bows here on time, he ad to jump thru some hoops to get it done but, with the help of express shipping, he got them here with plenty of time to spare.
Well Tony if I remember right, the little guy might want to do everything better then dad when it comes to pig hunting. LOL

Congrats! You have the makings of years of fun coming up!!
These boys have been shooting youth bows that I made from the youth bow blank that Mike and Jason had on sell a few years back.
These new bows are a step (or three) up from the old ones. They shoot fast and hit hard. The boys adjusted on the fly and took to the new bows like ducks to water.
Tony,
I know youare headed out to chase deer. When you get back could you take a couple of pics of the bows. We were in such a hurry to get them out we didn't stop and take pics.
Thanks,
Mike
wow!!!! that's just cool, :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

Well has anything fallen to the new bows?
And where are the pics you promised? LOL
Mike
Nothing has fallen yet but we're getting primed up.
I needed to shoot some product photography at work yesterday and ran off and left my camera there.
I'll be sure not to forget it this evening... :knothead:
My theme verse for 2009:
Genesis 21:20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
Mike: I took some photos last night.
I'm downloading them right now and I'll start a new thread this morning with those photos.
