Title: SO. IN. Hardwoods Bow
Post by: Crooked Stic on December 25, 2008, 08:02:00 AM
I recenly come across some well seasoned tulip poplar. It is kinda greenish color. I am thinkin veneers. Like I need another bow! Soo I thought I will use Indiana domestic woods. Osage riser with hickory (cheated a bit)bloodwood stripes with the poplar uder clear glass and black walnut cores. Some pics-

And a little trick I learned from Dano. Drilled a small hole thru the limb tip to hang the bow for spraying. Then put some braided fishing line thru the hole and top string loop for a string keeper.

Kenny it has veneers. Have not chronoed this paticular bow but what little I have shot it it seems pretty good.
