OK, I am sitting in a chair doing beadwork. I look for the scissors. I uncover stuff that is three years old that I put in a Safe Place for later. Then I find the piece of paper with my TSP PIN on it that they sent me because I forgot it, and then I lost the paper. I put it in a safe place and look for...what was it? Oh, scissors. I go through the pile of detritus on the desk.
AH! Victory!
There are the scissors, right where I left them!
Where's my beadwork?
Actually, it has gotten to the point that there is nowhere to do anything, because everywhere has gotten all clogged up with stuff.

Too funny.. I have bought archery "stuff" because I had forgotten that I already had purchased the same stuff to replenish what I had used...
I always say, "well at least I have extra"...
Too much stuff!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!
P.S. ( all I want for Christmas is UP )

"you know you have to
You're asking Cody Roiter for his mailing addres so you can send it all to him...
"Then I find the piece of paper with my TSP PIN on it that they sent me because I forgot it, and then I lost the paper. I put it in a safe place and look for...what was it?"
Kill, I bet there ain't many that know what you are talking about on this one. I do and have done that very same thing!

As my dad always says " Un-organized organization"... :)

I am in the same boat. What is really bad is when you accuse the wife of putting it up and find out you misplaced it then you have to eat your own words.
-
This is kinda how "The Trad Brain" works. Well, mine at least..... So, you know you have too much stuff when.......
* Need to fletch a half dozen arrow shafts. Then you gotta buy 100 feathers!
* Check out "Quivers & Leather Archery Goods" every day. Need to buy one of EVERY TYPE of quiver known to man. (Just because it's $2 less than a catalog price)
* Look at "Traditional Bows" and say outloud (So your wife can hear ya) "I don't need that!" And hope you get some brownie points for the next time you call 3 Rivers Archery Supply.

My Inventory is moving me out!
My wife dosen't put stuff up....she puts it out!
-
I got a whole hardware store in my basement but when I need something I go to the hardware store cause they know where it is!
-
Cody, If it makes you feel any better I put a set of Morrison td limbs someplace and can't find them so, they must be in a pretty darn safe place! Ben

I've discovered that the problem is that I need a bigger house with bigger rooms so the stuff can be spread out without being pile up by other stuff. That way I can scan the rooms and see the stuff I'm looking for. Its not us guys/gals, its the lack of spaces fault! :D

I have 2 "Man Caves" in my basement and still don't have enough room.

For clarification *TSP*(aka Thrift Savings plan) is the federal governments version of the 401k. I understand why Killie hasn't looked at because as everyone knows , unless you were real lucky, it ain't good news...
-
You know, I was at a yard sale during the summer and a gentalman sold me a bunch of arrows. I haven't looked at them for a couple montha and they are mostly tipped with Bear broadheads. I have over 200 ramin shafts in my basement, but I still keep buying.
Is it a disease, or is it a hope that there will be a newdie who will need our help or assistance
...?

Hey Rick, When I get back to Michigan I'll help ya redo the one Man Cave into that sewing room! OUUCHHH
-
Doug,I told her it was my "sewing room" as I was down there stitching a new leather wrap on one of my longbows
-
Hey, told the wife "you put it up and I can't find it, I'll just buy another". Still cain't find it and ain't got to buy no more either. Glad I wear the pants around here!!!
-
I have found the easiest way to find something I have put in a "safe place" is to go out and buy a new one. Sure as the sun rises I'll find the lost one as soon as I get home :knothead:

I usually have lots of extra supplies on hand, my problem is when I got to the other room to look for it - I forget what I was looking for. Then back to the room I was in to see if anything jogs my memory so I can go back and look for it. It is a vicious circle. By the time I finally find what I was looking for, I am out of the mood to repair it.

I descended from a family of packrats. I usually wait until a pile caves in or topples over and do an archeology dig through the remains.
