Hoping you all can help. I have the opportunity to get a Jerry Hill Stalker Deluxe longbow for my hubby for Christmas, but can't find any info on the web. I guess it's not made anymore? I know Jerry Hill is Howard Hill's nephew, but can't find any info on his company or products. Does anyone know if this is a quality bow?
I don't have any info, taking this to the top. Someone will come along with the info.
Thanks bowhunterfrom the past. I found some technical info, but would still like some opinions on the quality if anyone is familiar with this bow.
I.M.H.O. there are much, much better bows out there. A lot of hand shock.

I googled it and came up with the same thing...
It is a quality bow, but not on the same level as a Howard Hill Archery bow! Most of Jerry's bows that I have seen had deep narrow grips that were sharp on the belly side (a wedge grip) and had a pretty good thump in the hand when shot. If he's not a Hill shooter right now, I would recommend getting him a used Howard Hill bow because in general they are much better quality, much calmer in the hand, and can be found for not much more money. JMHO and others may differ. Good luck and Merry Christmas! Ken
Thank you everyone, I knew I could count on some good advice here! Safe and happy holidays to all!
I owned a new Jerry Hill bow and while it shot great I had just finished shooting one day and set it in my den to have dinner when I heard an awful racket. I went in and found that the bow had come apart on one end. I couldn't get them to even return a call or discuss the bow at all! Needless to say, that was abow never recommended in my archery shop!
First off, please tell me if this is the wrong place to post this. I searched around and this seemed the best place. I just want to be careful not to break any rules. So here's my question. Im haveing a hard time placeing my bow. I purchased it at 18 (im 30 now) from my local archery shop. It was my first long bow, picked it up for $200. A PSE rep came in and sold them a buntch of bows, one of them a long bow signed by both Pete Shepley and Jerry Hill in gold marcker on the limbs. Its a 68" 55 @28. From what ive learned it's the typical Jerry Hill design. Narrow handle, black leather grip and bits a bit on the release. This bow is numbered 200 something out of 500 made. So my question is does anyone know anything about this bow? Is it a Jerry Hill or a PSE? Is it worth anything? Right now i dont enjoy shooting it and I would like to put it towards a more comfortable bow, be that a reflex deflex or a nice martin recurve. Ill post some pics as soon as i can. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
I own a J. Hill Elite that I really like at 67#. His bows have taken the medicine for whatever reason. Maybe cause he didn't mass market them & carry on through advertising. All I've shot (3 or 4) have shot well w/o shock or stacking & I draw 31". PDQ also. As friendly a Hill bow as you could want IMO. Still good prices too.
I did forget to add that the draw is really smooth with no stacking. I do want to be fair to the bow. When i bought it, this bow was a comfortable fit for me at 18. Now at 30 my taste's have changed for how i want a trad bow to handle. It shoots the same as it did 12 years ago.
I traded for a Jerry Hill Stalker Deluxe 2 years ago. I heard all kinds of horror stories about hand shock and poor quality, but Being a stubborn German I said I would trade the guy and try it. Maybe I'm the oddball but I really like the bow. Hand shock is no worse than a Hill and if shot correctly with a heavy arrow there is none. The bow is silent and I have let a friend of mine ,who is a long bow nut shoot it and he said if he had a chance to get one he would. That's my story and I'm sticking to it....lol! :wavey: ron w
Forgive my ignorance. Is there a reason both Jerry Hill and Pete would hand sign this bow? The guy at the shop said it was a PSE, but it looks nothing like any PSE ive seen.
