I ordered two dozen carbons and a longbow sock.. hadnt seen the package for two weeks...so i decided to finally track the fed ex package... this was at midnight last night.... the tracking number said it was delivered on dec 15th... We never recieved a package, so i called the fed ex 1800 number and the gal told me the driver tossed the package in the bed of our pick up truck because our black lab was cruising the front yard.. (She may have licked the guy to death)... Anway, weve had 12"-20" of snow since the 15th...i was out shoveling out the bed of the pickup last night at 1 am....no package!! I'm now pretty furious that fed ex would toss the package in the bed of a pickup and not leave a note in my mailbox...especially since the truck is taken out on the expressway numerous times per week.. Well, the wife called from work this morning and said she was trying to think of where the package may of blown out...so she called a carwash 30 miles away that she went to on dec 16th...they still had the package and it had blown out in the wash!!! Thankfully it wasnt my new treadway!!...Whats the chance!
Good grief! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/Rooselk/Graemlins/Smilies/G-Censor-b.gif) I'd be furious. But I'm glad you were able to recover your package. I assume there was no damage?
IMO Fed. EX is a very cavilar company, in that I mean that they delivered one of our packedges to the correct street and address only thing is it was in a town across the river from us! Go figure!
To be fair though they finally got it right the second time!
The wife is picking the package up after work..we'll find out if everything is still in one piece.....
Next time just live with a dirty pick-up truck. Hope it all works out for ya.
... mike ...
Good thing you didn't go to the dump.
Quick,,,,go buy a lotto ticket!
Thats a crazy story Steve,, Glad everything made out ok,,JB
Steve, I'm with Mike on this one. I'd go buy some lotto tickets while you'v still got the luck. Hey, have you heard any coyot's singing around down there. My son and I where going to go this a.m. but this wind is a killer. Stayed home instead of risking becoming a popsicle.
dave...havent seen or heard them calling...i'll check with some of the local yote slayers and see if they are doing any good... they should be starting to pair up soon..shouldnt they?
Glad you at least found it. Hope everything is still in one piece.
WOW, thats crazy, glad you found it! I wouldn't be to happy with FedEx right now!
:knothead: I've always wondered what degree of liability they have when they pull a boneheaded stunt like that. I've not had one in the truck but have had packages left where no one with good sense would leave them. It seems that at least they would have the decency to leave a note. :banghead:
Very good detective work on you and the wife's part!
you must be doin something right!
got the package back today...no damage at all...and everything is still in it....
All's well that ends well. :)
I thought the Brown company was the only really bad one. This just confirms my belief in staying with USPS.
Wow that's crazy.
my dad drives for fedex and carries DogTreats with him in his truck. If there is a dog roaming the yard he takes a handful and tosses them off to the side from his truck and slips out the other side or back and delivers the package to the house or porch area. Sneaky but effective.
He has been bitten once by a dog and usually drivers dont take that lightly.
good thing it wasn't your "soon to be treadway"....
:knothead:
Dustin..i understand that completely.. I wouldnt want to deal with the dogs either... but, a note on the windshield or in the mailbox would of been helpful....
