Title: aluminum arrow size

want to use some aluminum arrows on my 50 lb.longbow.the longbow is not cut to center draw length is 28.5.any suggestions would be great

2016s cut to 29 in. with 125 point up front or if you want a heavier arrow 2018 cut to 30 in. with 145 point up front . Both should work fine but you will have to tune the arrow to the bow .   Check out A &  H archery  on our sponser list for great tuning info .

I'd bet you will need the 2016's cut longer than 29 if your bow is not cut to center. I'd try them full length and trim until you get them tuned to your bow.

I shoot 29" 1916's with 145 up front from my Caddo and my 51# Kanati and my 28" draw. These bow are cut to center though, so they handle 2016's just as well. 2018's are just a tad stiff unless I load them pretty heavy on the front end.

The key here is "not cut to center", so 1916's would be my suggestion.  Leave them long and cut back slowly.   :saywhat:
