I just made a deal on the 59'r here on TG. Have, and have had several of John's Longbows and love them. Never had one of these though. What can I expect performance wise and is the grip close to the ones on his hi-breds? Real excited about this one. Going to be hard to wait for it so if you guys could give me some input I'll have something to read while I wait for it.
Thanks Gene
John makes a great bow, thats for sure!
Yes the grips gonna be very close to the hybrid.I has excellant cast. Its stable in the hand with the nice grip like the hybrid and the extra mass weight only helps. Not as quiet IMO as the Hybrid.
Great looking bow you are getting. You need a 64 inch 59er original to go with it.It certainly will compliment your 2 griffin longbows nicely. You made a wise choice in adding it to your collection.
My 59er grip is very close to my Griffin's grip, both comfortable and with the locator. Both shoot great. Duane
When I was in my used bow buying and selling period (I've been good lately  ) I went through a bunch of different bows. If all the bows that passed through my hands a McCullough 59'r was probably the one I regretted letting go of the most. You're getting your hands on a good one
If I had to pick one bow to shoot and leave the rest, I think it might well be the 59er. I looked long and hard at the one you just traded for and was very tempted to shell out the cash. But, unlike Whip, I haven't been good lately, I've been very, very bad! :bigsmyl:
Besides, I have another 59er on order from John.
YOU WILL "LOVE" IT !!!! Good Job !!!!
sure was a nice bow that one Gene im glad you got it.
Andrew,
I could not have pulled it off without you. Hope you like that Super Shrew,,,, that was a hard one to part with. I'm really excited about this bow as I really have a "Soft Spot" for John's bows. Your's will start your way as soon as all this snow will let me get to town.
