Anyone own one? If so, is it dead quiet? Other thoughts?
Yes, yes it is, but only after you wash it two or three times. It still amazes me how quiet it is.
D-
I've read mixed reviews online. One guy says it's noisy and smells, the next says it's super quite. So I'm trying to expand the reviews.
I have one...just wash it no-scent detergent (I use Dead Down Wind). I haven't noticed mine to be noisy at all. It is what I primarily use here in Florida as it is lightweight for warm weather. Of course, you can also layer underneath it.
Had a coyote walk by me in mine at 2 1/2 yards this evening! I kept waiting for him to turn inside out, but I held still, and he never saw me. I really think it is a great camo "system" and has done everything I could ask for the past 3 years. I'd really recommend it...

Is there a Web site showing one of these suits and where to purchase them? Thanx,...Lloyd
I purchased mine right from their site:
http://www.asatcamo.com/ ;)
Great, thanx Tim.....Lloyd
I'm 5'10, 200lbs,what size?? over warm clothing? a lg or xlg? also will i have to trim the sleeve or is it ok as is?
Over heavy clothing. I think you'd like the XL better...
No need to trim on the ASAT 3D. I wear a Mike's archery leather armguard over it, and have never had interference problems.
Love mine!!!!!! If you wash it a bunch when you first get it, the fabric will quiet down. You cannot destroy the stuff and it's nearly impossible to fade. I used my first one for 4 seasons and it still has many years left in it. I passed it on to my daughter and have another one for myself I got on trade. Check out Highlights 2008 and you will see how the suit melts into the back ground in some of my pics.
BTW I was very happy with this deer although I don't look excited. I guess I didn't beat the timer on my camera,LOL!!!! :biglaugh:

I own one and use it when I stalk most of the time. I had to wash it and I did so with 3 pairs of toddler sized sneakers that had been washed in scent removing soap first. and it came out soft and silent. You won't believe how close you can get to animals wearing one. I had does walk past me so close I could have smacked their rumps as they past.
Hawkeye: "Had a coyote walk by me in mine at 2 1/2 yards this evening!"
What was the coyote doing wearing your camo Hawkeye? :saywhat: :saywhat: :saywhat:
How is one to know what size to get?
S M L XL, what do these actually mean in the real world?
I emailed ASAT to ask about their "sizes" and i have received no reply. Is it that ASAT don't know how big anything is either? Like, "Hey this is smaller than the rest so we'll call it small!" or... "This one's a little bit bigger so we'll call it "Medium!"
Sorry for the rant but i really get annoyed at clothing suppliers who just label stuff as "Medium" or whatever. How is anyone supposed to buy a piece of clothing of the internet like this?
OK, George, OK....
I graduated Summa Cum Laude, but it's been a while. Anyway, I could barely see him, the camo is so good!!

I am 6 feet tall and 300 pounds, I ordered the 3x size and the pants come up to my armpits and the jacket down to my knees! Works really good though. I have had animals walk right up to me in the open if I don't move and the wind is right. As far as sizes they told me to order the same size as the clothes you wear. It is sized BIG! I found though that this tends to distort your shape some when wearing it so your outline is human shaped. Joseph

I don't have clothes with S M L XL written on them. The clothes i have bought are labelled with real sizes, like 40 inch chest, 30 inch waist.
S M L XL is not any use to me whatsoever. I live in UK, am i supposed to keep sending stuff back and forwards to ASAT until i decipher their sizing system?
As you say yourself, you have questioned them about their sizes, i certainly have, and i'm sure many others have as well. Is it not then too much to expect from a supplier of quality clothing to simply state the actual sizes of their garments?
What about weight and packability (for lack of a better word)? Can you walk through brush with it? Does it grab thorns? If rolled up tight and shoved in a pack does it take up a lot of room?
Thanks...
