Just received my KME knife sharpener the other day and could not be happier. Ron was great to deal with and this product is of the highest quality. It made sharpening my grizzly bh's a breeze. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about sharp things or is sharpening handicaped like myself.
I have added pic's of the KME sharpener for those asking how it's different from the others. I purchased the base from Rom as well but he said you could easily make one yourself. Not only can I not sharpen things but I'm also known as a wood butcher so for me money well spent.

Ron, is no doubt one of the best. He has treated me awesome!! I hope he can get to my bunny hunt this year!! Shawn
I love mine and have a bandaid on my ring finger to prove they work. DB
I really like the knife sharpener myself. Ron is very easy to deal with and his products are top notch.
I can pretty much turn a sharp object into a dull one with any shapening device. I bought a KME (was getting desperate) to sharpen my broadheads and now even I can get them sharp....it's a heck of a product.
I too can attest to the KME knife sharpener. I recieved mine last week and MUST say it's nice to use a quality product that actually works as good as advertised. Being right handed, I now have absolutely no hair left on my left arm and a few small nicks on my right arm. I have to find a safer way to test for sharpness!!! Seriously though, I purchased the Diamond set and cannot see myself needing to ever buy another sharpener. Just as a heads up, I use Comet cleanser with a nylon hand brush and warm water to clean the Diamond stones and they come clean as new, pad them dry with a towel and they're good to go for the next job. You won't be disappointed with this product!!! Lloyd

One shot thank you for the pics of your set up.For fathers day this year I got another type of sharpenr I believe its called a Gelco or something along those lines(cabelas). It works OK at best. Thanks to you for the pics I will most likely end up haveing to buy the KME.I like that set up...bowdoc
doc....I have a gatco i'll be listing...already gave away my lansky.....terry
Oneshot then I know you know what I mean about the other type sharpenr.Maybe at income tax return time the Mrs will cut me off enough to buy a good sharpenr like that KME.bowdoc
KME products are outstanding and so is Ron. I purchased his BH sharpener and this is what can be done to a Grizzly with it:

Notice the mirror finish and the reflection of the fabric in the bevel.....

That is what I call "down in 7 seconds sharp" ;)

Guess I bought the wrong one. I purchased the broadhead sharpener not the knife sharpener. Happy with what I have, but it looks like the knife sharpener will do both broadheads and knives. Oh well, never had problems sharpening my knives to shave anyway. :bigsmyl:
I had a man tell me that you use Kerosene on any stone instead of oil. His reason was that the debris from the knife or bhd won't clog up the stone whereas oil will. He travels to knife shows and gives clinics on knife sharpening. So, I figured he knew what he was talking about. That is what I use and have had good results with it.
I have the KME broadhead sharpener. The knife sharpener looks like it could be used for both, broadheads and knives...?
snag....I can say I don't have a dull knife in the house...it gets addictive. I'll bet the more you use it the better you will get as well. The thing I really like is the ajustablity for bevel angle and the little ball that holds the rod..no bouncing around when using. thats the thing with the others..id the rod moved the angle changed.
doc....I'll send you my kme for your spot on bear quest...sounds like a fair trade...lol
by the way...i'm not getting anything out of this high praise..just a very satisfied customer.
terry
Were can you get them from. I have always used a Lansky and it sharpens my knives razor sharp, but can't use it on broadheads. Can you use the KME on WW broadheads ?
GLENN
Oneshot I don't know about swaping for the BQ-3 spot.I'am booked for two week again next spring.I just don't think two week of bear hunting would be worth that dandy sharpening system.I'll have to think it over.I do like that set up.bowdoc
Great stuff! Excellent fotos. If what I hear is true, KME will have a booth at Kalamazoo and Ron "Shaprster" will give a short talk about how to sharpen Ashby single-bevels, Grizzly and others. I for one can't wait to meet him. dave
You guys are gonna make po' li'l ole Ron blush and bleed to death through his face! :biglaugh: :jumper:
Couldn't happen to a better guy...he's all about quality products and service.
