Title: Traditional Outdoor Skills Day
Post by: Clay Hayes on December 16, 2008, 11:45:00 AM
Idaho Fish & Game is planning a "Traditional Outdoor Skills Day" for summer 2009.  The event will be held at a boy scout camp between Idaho Falls and Rexburg.  The idea is to expose children and adults to more traditional ways of hunting and enjoying the outdoors.  We are planning on demonstrations and hands on activities such as traditional archery (of course), traditional muzzle loaders, horse packing, tracking and bloodtrailing, etc.

In order to get more folks interested in coming to the event I would like to have some raffle items available.  In past skills days (not aimed at traditional) we've given away youth model rifles, etc.  If there are any bowyers or archery business owners out there that would like to donate a new traditional bow, arrows, etc.  it would be greatly appreciated.  We could also use a traditional style muzzle loader as well.  We would be sure to give you and your business credit for the item.  If you would like to donate an item or want more information about the event, send me a PM.

Thanks,
