Title: Yellowjacket from Raptor Archery
Post by: John R. Graves on December 14, 2008, 09:19:00 PM
Several years ago I bought a Yellowjacket "Wasp" longbow from Raptor Archery.  They were made by a guy named Gerald Johnson out of Borger, TX.  It has been a great bow and I'm still shooting it, I'm surprised though that I can't find them anywhere, not even at Raptor anymore.  Does anyone know what Gerald is doing or if his bows are still available?

I posted this last night and I'm hoping to get some response so I'll send it back to the top one time before it leaves the page.

Gerald advertised for many years in the Traditional Bowhunter Magazine classified ads, if you check some older back issues you can probably find contact info for him.

Hope this helps, Tim

Gerald decided he wanted to keep bow building a part time hobby rather than working all the time, heck he is retired .
Super nice guy that builds a great bow.

Thanks for all this info.  My "Wasp" is a fantastic bow and now it'll become an heirloom.
