I went with the wife to christmas shop and stopped into a big Movie, book and magazine store. I thought I'd look for some huntin videos after I could not find them I asked the guy that worked their if they had any he said Nope.
I have noticed in the book stores in the city's around here they don't carry much for books on hunting.
It is the same at my local movie store virtually no movies on hunting
You guys that have Net Flicks do they have many hunting videos?
Netflix has some hunting videos. I've watched a couple Howard Hill videos from them.
My daughter pretty much controls the Netflix around here but she would look for me if I ask her to.

Heck. I can't even find a doctor or dentist who has a decent selection of hunting and fishing magazines like they used to.

How the tide is changing, at least the Goodyear store here has outdoor mags

You nailed my point exactly.
Good Observation Tioga
Are we in the minority or just too politicaly incorrect.
They stock what sells. Shelf space costs money. Get a subscription to the magazines you like and swap books and videos in the classifieds here.
Mo Huntin, you might want to check this place out:

Another reason to support the small publishers that cater to us. TBH, Fur-Fish-Game, etc... Subscribe to one, two, many, whatever suits your budget and stick to it.
The farther we get from the outdoors, and that type of lifestyle, the more lost we become.
When you take a good long look, it`s scary.
I had an experience a few years ago at one of the big "chain" book stores that may shed some light on the real reason we don't see hunting books/videos in most of the big name outlets and probably the smaller ones too...
I was looking for some books for Christmas presents, looked up and down all the aisles several times before I broke down and asked for help finding the hunting/fishing section. The nice man didn't bat an eye as he replied "We don't stock hunting books because some of our customers find them offensive".
nuff said?

Sharpster I bet they had dirty magazines
they did at this place and movies to.
I sensored that out of the original post but I suspected just what you said
Hope I did not just go to far
Borders in ST. Louis carries all kinds of magazines and book on hunting. By the way we have always been in the minority, it was just more accepted in the past.

My dentist is a bowhunter, he's allways got some sort of hunting magazine laying around, decidedly in the minority tho.
